Great price and ability.
@KilmichaelFebruary 15, 2018
My first time to use one of these wave makers or water movers, but I really like what this cheaper model allowed me to experiment with. It has strong suction onto the surface, is quietly doing its job, and while the openings made me worry about its safety, I've not had any issue with it, other than plant leaves that I have to remove. In the future I may invest more into one that does not have a cord going into the aquarium.
Great value

Great value for 2 of these. They don't blast corals...provide a nice soft flow. The suction cups suck though - they will eventually let go...every one I've had of these has done it. So, I glue magnets from old failed Koralia powerheads to the unit, so I can use a magnet on the outside to hold it. Works perfectly. Can't beat the price. I've had one for a couple of years so I know they last.
Good for the price. But you get what you pay for.

Solid construction, great mounting pieces and suction cup. Very small and doesn't take up much space in the tank. Easy to position. Power cords could be about another foot longer, but were not overly short. Overall great build quality.

Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the claimed 528 gph is very over rated. I purchased the 2 pack and I amusing both in a 40 gallon breeder tank. (Saltwater) and am only getting minimal flow. Better than not having any powerheads in the tank but no where near the water movement you would expect by adding an additional 1052 gph worth of supposed water movement. Even with both pointed up they only ripple the water as much as my HOB filter that is rated for 350 gph. So I would say realistically you're getting 150 to 200 gph per wave maker not 528 each.

Overall I would recommend this product, however I wouldn't recommend they be used as your main wavemaker. Instead to be used as secondary wavemakers aimed at whatever dead spots you may still have after purchasing a more powerful product.
Initial review these are impressive even at twice the price I paid

2 for $12 it was worth a shot. Just installed 1 today in my 75 gallon reef for additional surface movement. It works amazingly well to move the water it was at one time a small dead spot. It moves water at least half way across the 48" long tank. My only concern will be the longevity but if it last a year or so I figure it was well worth the purchase price. Only uses 3w so I have them connected to my battery backup in case of an outage.

1 month later both are installed in my 75g display. I'm still very impressed with these for the $$ if I have to replace them every 6 months I'll still be happy. Still no issues.
"Gentle" movement of water
JLNovember 6, 2016
Used in a 75 gallon aquarium, just for the dead spots, and worked well for that, with a "gentle" circulation. The package does not state GPH, brochure has this puts out 2500LPH, this advertisement states "528- GPH" for each for a total of 1056-GPH?
After running these pumps, find it hard to believe, together, the output is that high. The suction cups worked well, and satisfied with the purchase.
