Not Heavy Duty, but Fair it this price.

This item serves the function of locking mail box. No way for a hand to fit in the front.
It looks nice in the front yard, and it was a good price.
It is not constructed in a heavy way that would prevent damage.
I would give this about 3 stars due to the fact that it is not Heavy Duty.
The cast aluminum cracked a bit on the post cast when I installed it. The aluminum is pretty thin.
It is a bit wobbly at the post, and I think if you were determined, you could just break it off at the base and steal the whole thing.
Fairly easy to put together and install. It is not heavy to carry.
Do not over tighten the bolts or be rough with it.
In the end of the day, it would be more of a hassle to steal, and they may just go to another unlocked mail box.
It is decorative and will do the job for now. Fair at this price.

I purchased this mailbox for my grandma's house and it came with some missing parts, but the manufacturer sent all the missing pieces and now it looks as good as new very impressed with the way they handled my situation and I would definitely recommend them!

Received the mailbox and before I even took it out of the box, I wanted to return it. It was a very thin casting and has a very flimsy feeling to it. Attempted to return the item before even taking it out and was told by the seller, that I'd have to pay for shipping back & a restocking fee. So I decided it wasn't worth the return at that point. Finally got around to taking it out of the box so I could set it up..... THING IS NOT EVEN 3 FT TALL.... IT IS TINY.... I included photos for those that don't believe me. At this point, I'm going to have to build a brick enclosure so I can raise the mail slot high enough for my mailman to reach (current mail slot height is right above the 2 ft mark).

This is just what I was wanting for my new home. I had another brand in mind, but their white box was out of stock for weeks and suddenly this appeared on Amazon. I had to scoop it up. The box is WONDERFUL quality, we put it together very easily and it is stable with the way we installed it in the sidewalk. We drilled holes and used the enclosed bolts to bolt it down. The box itself has some scratches from shipping, and there was a hole in the cardboard box which caused some of the enamel paint to chip off. I will find some nail polish or appliance paint to touch up those areas so it looks perfect.
No, there is not a way for a postman to deliver packages into the box as it comes. If you trust your neighbors you could put a thumb lock on the back instead of the actual key lock so a postman could open the back but that would also allow others to retrieve your mail. I get all packages delivered to my office so this wasn't an issue. I also never send outgoing mail, ever. So that was not an issue for me either.
