I viewed this on YouTube by a person that carries this in their EDC bag. I thought that was silly, but I tried it and in the short time I have carried it, I used it 7 times and am happy I had it with me.

The selfie stick tripod is great, but the remote broke the same day. Very cheap looking and did not work as expected. But the tripod was worth the price by itself. My son gets lots of use out of it. Invest in a better quality remote and your all set.

Received this today, have used it a few times already. Can't say how long it will last, but it seems pretty sturdy. The Bluetooth remote paired with my iphone 6 plus almost instantly (without downloading any additional app as other reviewers have stated - there is an app out there, but it's not needed) & works for all features of the stock camera, however, you will still need to open the camera, and choose the function you want to use i.e. photo, video, etc. The battery cover for the remote can be a bit tricky, but once I got it on, its on secure, and have no issues with.
For the price and what you get good deal. Don't purchase for remote.

Got this mostly for the handgrip tripod mount for my Sony Handy Cam and was happy with the quality of the grip. My daughter got the phone mount and remote and loves the phone mount for her vine videos the remote on the other hand arrived as others have reviewed about with a battery cover that didn't close or often fell off but when it would decide to stay on the remote worked with iPhone 6. The USB Micro SD card reader is a nifty useful extra portable and works well. For the price and what you get good deal. Don't purchase for remote.

The big failing of most adapters for iPhone to Tripod is that they don't factor in that you might be using a case on your phone. Having to remove your phone from it's case is a pain, and puts your phone in mortal danger. This adapter is different. It works with almost any phone (even the gargantuan iPhone 6 Plus) and works well. I use the adapter on a variety of tripods, as well as the hand-held/desk tripod (included). The remote control is a nice touch, although it works only for the built-in app in camera mode. No luck getting it to work for other apps and video recording. Pity.
