This is a wonderful stand. I use it to elevate my computer monitor. It's a clean design, and since my desk is white it makes it look less cluttered. These are also very sturdy. I own three of these.
Quality does not match the premium cost.

When I pay $25 dollars for a basic, white, painted metal (tin?) shelf, it should be as close to perfect as possible. In my opinion charging that much money for such a simple product puts it in a premium product class. Instead, it's a basic shelf for $25 and it has design flaws. I purchased it because I was looking for a glossy, white monitor stand. I'm using it as such but probably not for long. I guess it would make a decent desk shelf/riser.

I would be fairly happy if I bought it for $6.99 at Walmart. Instead this sells for $25 here and at the Container Store (don't judge, I have OCD and NEED the Container Store in my life) and I'm far less than thrilled.

My top 5 complaints (with 5 being the worst) are:

1) Stable, but barely.
The structural balance is off -- the height of the legs are not the same. The legs and top are sturdy but I'm assuming that the foam feet needed to be added to make up for the un-evenness in the legs so it would sit level. The pads do work to protect the table surface but I'm sure will lose their adhesive and fall off well before the products end of life. They should have used the same adhesive as the label (more on this later).

The legs also appear to be slightly bent when compared to one another. The symmetry is off which makes it look cheap IMO.

2) Doesn't make a good monitor stand.
There is absolutely nothing innovative about this. The legs don't fold for storage or adjust for height, the shape doesn't fit the footprint of most modern monitors -- it would probably fit my 1998 CRT beast monitor perfectly. Don't buy this as a monitor stand. There are better options for $25 more suitable as a monitor stand.

My monitor is currently see-sawing up and down as I type this -- how's that for stability?

3) The dimensions are an odd shape.
It appears to be a square but it's not. It's 1/2 an inch longer than it is wide. It's also too low to put much under. You can only see about 3/4 of the way to the back. Also an odd shape for most modern monitors, see above.

4) The build-quality is poor.
I mentioned before the balance and lack of symmetry in the legs. Mine looks like the entire shelf is shifted right with both legs leaning in that direction. The welds that box in the top and attach and construct the legs are rough and appear unfinished, just painted over. The legs do not match flush with the edge of the top. There is also some unevenness or flaring around the edges so that the edges do not appear straight but rather wavy -- notice in my photo how the light reflects differently along the front lip.

All of which would be excusable in a shelf that costs 1/5 of this price. Not excusable in a $25 dollar version.

5) I'm tired of writing about a (bad) monitor stand so I'll get to my main complaint... in this case a photo is worth a thousand words -- SEE PHOTO. I would love to know who's idea it was to use a giant adhesive sticker to label the working side of a shelf. And this is not the newer types of label that easily peel off and leave no residue. Ohhhh no... this is your old school adhesive.

So to finally end my long-winded tirade about a shelf... this is an over-priced, under-designed shelf that you can literally get similar at Ikea for $5.99 ... but you have to screw the legs on... which will take you far less time than it will to peel, scrape and dig the adhesive off of this one.

I would not buy this again or recommend it to anyone.

(If you made it this far, here's a pro-tip: the adhesive actually comes off very easily once you remove the actual paper sticker part. Just soak a paper towel in rubbing alcohol, lay it over the area with adhesive residue for appx 10 minutes and then wipe off with a paper towel.)
Looks pretty nice. But they are not balanced

Looks pretty nice. But they are not balanced, so I had to put something thick in one corner so the item can stand on my desk without rocking back and forth. Definitely NOT worth $30!!!

Not very stable on table. Still trying to get the large adhesive sticker off the top. Great idea but poor product
