This is an amazing Turkish coffee pot. Very well made, large enough for several espresso sized coffee cups. Thicker than all the other pots I have ever seen or bought. I made a really delicious cup of Turkish coffee as soon as I opened the package. Yes it costs a bit more than the other pots for sale but it is very much worth it. You will understand once you open the package which by the way was delivered to me in record time. I think mail in the US takes longer to deliver than this brilliant coffee pot that came all the way from Istanbul, Turkey. One can absolutely tell that it was handmade. I will enjoy a perfectly made cup of coffee from this point forward.

By the time my wife decided she wanted one of these while on our trip to Greece, decent quality ones were no longer to be found in any store or marketplace. So we stopped looking, fully expecting to pay an outrageous price for a good one at the Athens Airport. What we found however was absolute junk made of questionable metal priced for gullible tourists who want some kind of last-minute vacation remembrance no matter the cost. So we decided to buy what we wanted on Amazon and not be taken. We don't care that our coffeemaker comes from Turkey and not Greece and that we didn't purchase it on our trip. It is an excellent example of the kind of traditional coffee makers we have seen when travelling to that part of the world. Seeing it makes us think of Greece and makes us happy.

The thicker gauge bottom makes all the difference. An earlier reviewer noted the benefits of a thick bottom and I find it to be true in my experience. Liquids simmer on a low flame but don't come to a rolling boil as they do with my stainless steel unit. I can leave this pot on a low flame, and can walk away for a minute and not come back to a boil over. One note of caution, the section where the handle is attached to the pot feels a little fragile - if you drop it on a hard surface I wouldn't be surprised if it breaks.
EDIT: I took off one star 5/8/15 because of the handle. After a few months of careful daily use - hand washing, not soaking the handle in water the metal wire embedded as decoration in the handle is working out and creating a poke hazard. Same for the nail securing the wood to metal. I am cautious handling this because of concern over getting a sharp poke - again! I would prefer a safer more durable handle to a decorated one.

This is an absolutely beautiful and very elegant coffee pot. It is lovely and well-made. It has a wooden handle with a shell inlay ornamentation. (Many of the copper coffee pots we looked at have a brass handle with a warning regarding the lead content of the brass so it's nice not to have that issue.) We have a Chemex glass coffee maker and the coffee gets cold right away. So now we decant into our Turkish coffee pot. Because it is copper and copper transmits heat very efficiently, only a very low flame is required to keep the coffee nice and hot.
It came so quickly that it is hard to believe it came all the way from Turkey. We expect to enjoy this wonderful pot for years to come. We love this solution to our "cold-coffee" problem.

This is the first time ever I've felt that I owe it to the manufacturer to review their product! I have owned a fair share of turkish coffee pots, however I have to say this is the most beautiful one yet! I love everything about it, the handle, the colour, the tiny dents and the size, and moreover it makes great coffee! It is most definitely hand made and the bottom is thick as promised, which is vital when making genuine greek/turkish coffee. I also have to mention the excellent customer service. It arrived promptly, three days after I placed the order, despite the fact it was shipped all the way from Turkey! The coffee pot was gift wrapped with a bow and also included a complementary pack of turkish coffee which was a lovely touch. I greatly recommend this product and it's most definitely worth the price.
