I recently installed two of these for my home theater package. There is no noise at the connection points and a nice strong signal. If you have a shallow junction box it won't work though due to the length of your HDMI connectors so check the junction box you are planning to use before installation. Most homes have standard deep junction boxes but double check you might be the exception to the rule, in which case you'll need to get a capture junction box if you're working around finished dry wall.
