Do not buy this cheaply made pole. I purchased one years ago and it held up, but finally wore out, so I ordered a new one. The original company was apparently sold, and the new company puts out a cheaply made version. It only lasted 2 months before a spring inside broke, rendering it unusable and unsafe. So I purchased another one and it broke as well. When the spring breaks, the tension is lost and the pole comes crashing down, and you end up flying to your death.

This pole is easy to install as long as you have the proper tools. This one DOES NOT SPIN :( even though its close sister pole from the same product line does spin. This particular pole twists into place to stand upright, and spinning on the pole will undo it; also there is the one core pole and no outer pole for spinning. But I really love the product for the price. It is very sturdy and I am completely confident in its ability to withstand my weight when I am using it. I weigh 147.0#
