Home Recording? Get this mic, and have fun.
Dylan•December 7, 2017
I have tried many mics for vocals, and I like this one best. Seriously, if you are home recording, don't spend a fortune on a mic, your songs will not sell any better. You need phantom power for this mic, and if you don't know what that is, hold off buying any mic until you educate yourself more.
You could also just get a SM57, put a pop filter on it, and sing. The SM7 (the NPR mic, needs LOTS OF POWER to sound good, so don't get that one unless you have a powerful pre-amp.
Back to the P220: you'll like it. Great value. Just get it, and don't go all Gear Acquisition Syndrome and keep buying more mics to try to make yourself sound like Sting or Adele. It aint really the mic, it's you. And nobody really cares about home recorded songs anyway, so just have fun. And keep that day job.

I've just finished my first recording using this mic. And I love it! I'm singing it's praises.
Great mic for the price. And maybe great for more than the price.

Super affordable condenser mic that sounds great for vocals and acoustic guitar. I compared sound bites online for a bunch of Mics before choosing this one and it does the trick. Great uncompressed natural sounding and bright vocals for the home recording studio.
This Microphone is Great!

This microphone is great! I use it for voice communication on my computer and it does more than enough. This microphone would be great in many different situations and is well worth the price in my opinion.
