I was a little nervous ordering these because I know each set will be different so I was worried I'd get one that wasn't as nice looking or with crappy color or something. I was really pleased with what I got. There is a side that is "flawed," in that, it doesn't look nice, but it's a part of the natural stone, so can't really complain about that. Plus, I just face that side to the wall, and the other side is a very nice blue facing out. They're nice and heavy, so keep up a decent size stack of tall books rather nicely. Overall, very happy with the quality for the price.

I picked these out while I was deciding to redecorate my living room. Because it's natural stone, each bookend is unique and not exactly like the photos, but I think this gives them character. The photos do give an impression of bookends that are much larger than the ones I received. The photos are probably of a larger size than mine (2-3 lbs). My are taller and more skinny. I first thought, "This is it?!". But they look larger on the shelf than in my hands, which makes a difference. I don't plan to return them. Now, I just need to figure out what shelf to put them on.

The stones are beautiful but I choosed 3-4 lbs thinking it would be enough weights to use as bookends, its not! I literally put them together and it only hold one side. Its not enough weights to use as bookends.
