I was very disappointed to find this is not pure cheese but, rather, is identified as "cheese food"--NOT real cheese. The taste was, well...tasteless. After reading the full ingredient label and tasting it once, I threw it in the trash bin.
Not 100% Gouda But Tastes Great!

This is not 100% pure gouda cheese. It is a blend of Monterey Jack, cheddar and gouda. The smokey flavor gives it a wonderful flavor. You can tell it's not aged much, but I'm sure you would have to pay a pretty penny for pure aged gouda. I like it melted on a sandwich.
