You may need to buy double to fill a sunsun canister tray. I bought this 3pack plus The filter I bought came with media packs luckily so I had enough to fill up the trays well. I rinsed the hell out of the carbon bags but they still discolored the hell out of my water so I just tossed em. Tank runs clean and well once cycled . This cheap stuff does the job just fine for my tank w/ 2 red eared sliders, and they are definitely some dirty lil fellas. Next time I purchase media I may replace/add to the rings with cheap lava rock and try that out. - tip, I just placed the whole mesh bag w media in the trays no need to dump them out in the trays, watch out there are shards of broken pieces in ceramic ring packs.

These must be the same ones packaged in the SunSun canister Filters's by all appearances are identical. The product was well packaged, and delivered promptly. Since I do not need to replace the media immediately I cannot rate the product except to say that since it is identical to what I am currently using I believe it will work as well as those in my SunSun filter.

Overall I'm impressed. The biorings are course and not flimsy or weak. I've made the mistake of purchasing media that crumbles in your hand when pressure is applied. I like them...
The bioballs are just bio balls...not really that good....I prefer the biomedia...supports more aerobic bacteria by far. However, it's good quality and should last months...
I don't really use activated carbon unless I have to remove medicine from the tank, but this is good quality stuff...

I've had this running in my salt water tank for 6 monthes and it has performed perfectly so far. I run this filter and a protein skimmer together for crystal clear water with almost zero nitrates and ammonia.
