DO ONE SIZE UP. LARGE IS SOMEWHAT SMALL
HG✓ Verified Purchase•October 28, 2017
Hm...I purchased large but it's somewhat small. I never had issue with purchasing large hat, so this is the first time. With the material, I wouldn't be surprised that it will shrink after I wash it. Oh and it doesn't come with the cleaning instruction either. If you want to purchase this, you may want to consider 1 size up.
Functional and Economical

Functional hat that will serve the purpose of providing sun protection. The brim doesn't hold its shape very well but you can't expect much for the price you pay. Overall, a decent hat for the money but I won't consider this my "Sunday" hat.
When you are looking for a hat to wear outdoors in the summer the lighter the better when it comes to color
Amazon Customer•September 9, 2016
Color is way off. When you are looking for a hat to wear outdoors in the summer the lighter the better when it comes to color. This one is a very dark probably 4 shades darker than it should be.... the photo is probably close to a Pantone 15-1216... but what we received is much closer to 17-1019... So honestly while I don't expect an exact match to the color of a product I don't expect it to be that much darker than it is supposed to be.
Other issue is the hat arrived flat as a pancake... now the box it cam in was big enough for it to have been sent in the appropriate shape but for whatever reason they sent it flat and now I have no idea how to get it to take back any of its shape on the crown.
It is cheap, but honestly I wouldn't' recommend it for those two reason.

I love the hat
Parks33✓ Verified Purchase•July 20, 2016
I love the hat, it's works wonderfully well. I got the large and it's snug on my noggin. If I had a rope tape measure handy I would tell you how large my head is, but I don't. The material is really nice. It's thick and durable. The snaps on the sides were a little off on mine, not allowing it to fold up to the sides evenly, I'm assuming some worker just make a silly error and punched the rivet in a bad place. I don't usually put the sides up anyway, but it's a good hat. Just go with a size bigger than what you think you need is my only suggestion.
Botched sewing just to keep it together?
Jennifer Mitchell✓ Verified Purchase•March 19, 2016
The snaps are placed too low on the top so when folding a side, the brim bends in the middle rather than at the brim's inner edge and the snap doesn't hold.
The sewing on the top's back side is... ridiculous. Take a look at the product picture vs mine. I would say it's toddler labor quality, not even child labor.
The material is adequate for sun shade and brim stiffness.
Update 25 March. They accepted a return but wouldn't pay for shipping, which cost almost as much as the product. I see they dropped the price to 4.99 today. I propose they have a bad batch they want to get rid of. If you can resew, consider this at $4.99.
