Got a defective unit but great customer service.

So this has a lot going on it. Hard to give the product itself any stars, but the customer service, while slow was excellent. I had an issue with the initial DVR. I contacted their support and they diagnosed it as a bad unit and shipped me a replacement for free and even upgraded the unit. I was very impressed by their service. The software is not as good or intuitive as others I have used in the past, but after messing with it for several hours I was able to figure out how to do everything I need. The night view is not very good outdoors. The distance is minimal. Not 65 feet I would think, but maybe 30. I think most of the systems out there that make crazy claims are being very optimistic.
The daytime view is good. The motion alarms are not as good. Too sensitive or no recording even if you walk in front of it. For indoors this would not likely be an issue, but outdoors with shadows and such crossing the path, it sets it off. Overall, for the money it is not a bad cheap system, just do not expect it to match a high end unit.
