When I first bought my Arlo cameras they didn't have covers like these. I have a 4 camera set that I got as an upgrade to my 1st generation Netgear wireless camera system. I put 2 of the cameras outside so I decided to get these reasonably priced hoods to protect the outside cameras from the elements. I found them fairly easy to put on. I wish that there was complete coverage but I guess then it would be impossible to get them on and access the battery hatch, etc.

Look nice, makes the camera look a bit more like a "proper" security camera. Hopefully as a greater deterrent outside.

These work very well with our Arlo cameras. The area on the back still allows for the magnet to grab hold. The bottom area is bare to allow attaching screw on mounts and to access the batteries.

I think these would be better if the bottom was covered though, maybe a flap that would open/close to access the batteries. That way the bright white camera wouldn't show when viewed from below.

They fit good though, and after tugging a bit the skin completely covered the silver rim at the front of the camera. The camera I bought these for is in the back area of our house (it gets moved around a lot) and now blends very well in the garden.

These are nice, but a couple of observations.

1) Design Flaw: There is no flap or cover for the bottom. I realize it is open to accommodate a battery change; however, when mounted up, you can see the white bottom of my Arlo device. Making it black to be discrete is defeated by this design flaw. A small single piece flap, that can be slid inside the hole at the bottom, and easily removed to change batteries, would make this a better product.

2) Design Flaw: There is no ridge on the front. The pictures provided for these skins don't show the silver bezel that my Arlo has. Since there is no ridge/edge (it is just straight), not matter what I do you can distinctly see the silver reflective bezel of the Arlo. Again, defeating the being discrete aspect. A simple edge/ridge on the front, just a few millimeters, would fix this design flaw.

While a good product, fixing these design flaws would make this a much better product.

For the most part, if you are putting this on a flat surface the hole in the bottom won't be noticeable. If you have to mount it upside down, or at an elevation, the hole in the bottom becomes a major distraction.

For my solution, to address the design flaws, I simply put a piece of black paper to cover the hole in the bottom, and painted the Arlo silver edge bezel, which does not get covered by the skins, with black paint.

Although I do not have any of the more expensive Arlo skins, I don't see that I'd need anything other than these skins. They fit perfectly, a far as I'm concerned, and do what they are supposed to do. They are a bit tight while you're putting them on the cameras, but they need to be tight in order to remain tight after installation. There is a little "button" that lines up with the sync button on the camera, and the bottom is open so that you can replace the batteries. There is a perfect hole in the back that you would use if you mount the cameras using the magnetic mounts.

The main thing I like about these skins is the fact that they help not only to protect, but also to hide my cameras and keep them from being so obvious. Again, I don't see that the more expensive (actually overpriced) skins could be that much better.

Note: the REVIEW PERTAINS to how well the product works with ARLO PRO and NOT "REGULAR" ARLO as it is designated for.

Nice skin but does not fit the Arlo PRO well. I bought it based on some of the answers suggesting that I could use it for my ArloPro camera. Too bad I did not read ALL of the "Answer Question" carefully, upon which I'd know that I risked a mismatch.

Now, the good thing is that when you try to fit the skin on the camera and then you buy (as I did) this company's product specifically for ArloPro, you don't complain (as some of the reviewers of the ArloPro skins) that ArloPro skins are too lose ...
