these are useful when working towards the center of your project or when using small (short) rivets, but i would recommend getting a rivet gun (pliers) or using screw rivets when working towards the edge of your material, as hand-pounded rivets tend to fall off when stress is put on them.

Works as expected, however I use a metal stamping block of metal instead of the little round bottom part. Works much better with the extra space and not fusing with such a small circle.

This rivet setter is wearing out after fewer than 100 rivets.
The dome shape is needed for so many rivets

I like the dome, rounded ends on both the anvil and post. Worked great on a variety of Tandy rivets like their double headed rivets which are slightly rounded. Prevents flattening out of the rivet when you set it.
