I've always had a problem with hot, steamy laptops. The warm glow of technology never fails to send sweat dripping down my thighs as I'm writing another paper for my English professor. I needed something to cool me down...or the laptop, at the very least.
I purchased this Laptop Cooling Pad due to the other great reviews, and now I have to add my own. The device is slim for its power and emits a delightful whirring noise when in use. The soft, blue glow calms my heated heart as I feel the fans come to life. They offer a much-needed reprieve from the sweltering, sticky blaze.
A few others have mentioned this, but I will too: the fans don't work if they're glued to your thighs. They can't suck air from your skin. So put your laptop on a table. Not only will it help your back, but it will allow you to focus on your work, free from the sexy heat of technology.
10/10 Would buy again.

Great Cooling Pad. Took it out of the box... set it up in about 60-seconds. Turned it on... whisper quiet. Awesome product and was the #1 recommended cooling pat by CNET. Very quite. I work out of my home, and in fact my desk is in my bedroom. My only issue... and I'm just being a pain is that I wish I could dim the Blue LED lights, or turn them off... NOT REALLY A COMPLAINT. I would have to turn the fan off to turn the lights off. So, I just shut my system down which is probably a good thing anyway. I love this product.

I wasn't honestly expecting much by way of a cooling pad, having had bad experiences in the past. In the past, I would either find that they would die quickly or not have a high enough cooling effect, to where it didn't matter if I had one or not. However, this one has a great cooling effect, almost too good. Though it was very comfortable sitting on my lap, not digging in like some others might, its cooling effect was so strong that it would actually start cooling my legs off to the point where that was uncomfortable. However, it kept my laptop in great shape.
It's also very quiet, only the slightest buzzing noise. I didn't find it to be distracting at all. I also don't know if I'm such a fan of the lights on it, as they are quite bright. It didn't bother me as much as my neighbors. Obviously it wasn't shining through my laptop, but rather out the sides. Despite this though, it is easily the best cooling pad I've ever bought and just bought another for my mother. Definitely recommended!

Good at keeping PC cool, but makes a little too much noise and pretty bright.

I bought this for my Asus ROG GL70VM which runs pretty hot since it's a gaming PC. This fan works really well for this PC, keeping the temp on the GPU and CPU a couple degrees cooler than without the fan running. This fan however does run a little loud, and for some reason mine makes a kind of rattle noise if my PC isn't sitting right on it. Also this fan has really bright LEDS that easily put a lot of light into my room, if you like playing horror games in the dark for full immersion then you might want to look at a different fan. Otherwise this fan works good and is worth it.
UPDATE:
so with this fan i also bought a new laptop, and immediately i was having issues with my new pc where it would boot to a black screen. i was freaking out cuz this is a brand new pc and shouldn't be having problems. Fortunately, I figured out that if you keep this fan plugged in and on when you turn off you pc, it will boot to a black screen. so just keep that in mind to turn off the fan when you turn off the computer, i'm not sure if this will happen to other pcs but it did to mine.

Works just as stated! Not too loud or noisy for it to be annoying or anything. Cleans out and keeps my laptop and fans cool so it doesn't get as dusty in there as it use to be. Still need to use canned air just to be safe. Also a note that if you're laptop is shut off and not plugged in to charge and this cooler is still plugged in and on, it will continue to work because it will just drain whatever your laptop battery has left so I recommend turning it off right when you shut down your laptop or else you will forget! ): Overall great product and will purchase again if something happens to this one!
