This is a great product. Put on my chain link fence and now I have privacy. It is not transparent at all. I have total blockage. I was not expecting it to block so well. Because I had black before and certain times if the day you could see right through it. But not this one, somehow it is as solid as my vinyl siding....matches it too. I am very happy.

I live in Glendale AZ and summers here are absolutely brutal. I purchased this product to shade the West side of my home, where the setting summer sun sets and casts it's hottest temps on my home. Happy to say, all the windows and walls on the West side have absolutely no heat and the three bedrooms are cold. Purchased this product to use in our chicken pen. It's exactly what we need to provide our hens with some relief from the desert heat. Will it stand the test of time? That remains to be seen but, from experience, not much holds up to the Arizona sun forever. Still, at the price offered, I'm satisfied. I am considering purchasing another roll to use in other places around the yard.
