We have 3 of these. Two of them developed a slight rattle after 1 yr. Over time, the rattle few worse. At 1.5 yrs, the rattle was unbearable and the product was unusable. I opened them up to see if it was dust or perhaps a loose motor mount. Unfortunately, the problem is that the motor is unbalanced and there is no easy DIY solution. So those units are going into the electronic trash bin. Our 3rd unit is starting to rattle too.
I would have expected a longer lifespan for the price. In comparison, our Marpac Dohm is 4 yrs old and still going strong.

I purchased the Sleep Easy White Noise machine in FEB 2015, and it's been on practically every day/night since it arrived. It makes the perfect amount of noise for our Master Bedroom. I liked it so much, we purchased one for the daughter who lives a few miles away in an apartment. I'm unsure what has changed, but apparently owners are reporting a rash of quality issues. The two that I own are doing fine, so I hope the company gets it's act together and addresses the issues.

This has been a fairly good product. We purchased the Sleep Easy Sound Conditioner in July 2015 and have used it every night since. You can turn the top and sides to find just the right sound and volume for comfortable sleep. It's been a good blessing to have in our kiddos' bedroom. This morning, April of 2017, the motor was making a chirping sound. Now it no longer works at all. I would expect a longer lifespan. I've used other similar white noise machines in my profession for many years without problem.

Still not entirely used to the sound of it yet, but definitely have not had other problems that people have cited in other reviews. I have left it on all night, with no problems related to it getting physically warm to the touch. I also have played around with the different volume options, and I find the loudest to be quite loud. Maybe it's not loud enough for people who live near airports or train stations, but I live off a busy street, as well as with four other people, and this machine is plenty loud. I also did not have the plastic smell issue upon taking it out of the box that others have complained about. I gave it three stars because it definitely does the job, and it is a great price, but I am stingy when it comes to rating things, and this is average, but has not changed my life.

Bought the Sleep Easy White Noise for my 6 month old son's room while working on sleep training. Initially it worked great and did wonders to keep everyday noises from waking him while he slept. Granted we gave this thing ALOT of use (10-12 hours each night 4 hours during the day), we even gently traveled with it on family vacations. But after only 6 months of use the machine is no longer outputting the same volume of noise as it initially did (even at the max volume). For the lower price it's still not a bad deal we may have worn it out from overuse. But planning to replace it with the Dohm by Marpac hoping to get longer use out of it.
