I have monster cables that are fairly hard to plug and unplug (great connections never shake loose. But when we upgraded turn tables and needed to swap plugs, the metal outer connector pulled off on the unit. I guess if keeping plugs or weaker plugs this would have been fine.

The switch works, BUT make sure the speakers are turn off when switching inputs or there will be a loud and unpleasant bop from the switcher which could potentially harm your speakers.

This is perfect for a "simple" set-up that needs more than just the input selection on a receiver. I have multiple different audio inputs in my system and was finding it a hassle to unplug things and plug them back in every time I wanted to switch from my turntable to a video game console. This is the perfect solution because I can add the audio only inputs to this and maintain the receiver inputs. All of the inputs are filled and labelled, so I have TV, Wii, N64, and AUX plugged into this, then my receiver switches between this box plus the turntable, tape deck, and radio. The best thing is that I don't have to pull anything out of the media stand and plug/unplug cables, besides the Wii vs. N64 video into the TV. I'm very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it for improving an audio set-up.

I can't give this 1 star, "I hate it" is just too harsh. But, it didn't work and I had to return it. I didn't purchase another. This unit did not work on any of 4 different units I had I needed to hook up to an old CRT TV my kids use in a bedroom. Could have been a fluke failure, but this thing is so simple there's no reason it shouldn't work. It's literally just an internal switch. Most other switches come with their own power, not sure why this one doesn't.

Nice looking case. Good function. Worth the extra few bucks over the plastic case version I bought. Nice positive buttons.
