I actually love this product but gave it 4 stars as it ...

I actually love this product but gave it 4 stars as it is a little bit of work to program. My son loves it and it works well to remind him of different things. The vibration is very discrete so he doesn't feel like everyone is looking at him and it is easy for him to turn off. It was bought for an autistic 7 year old so that he would be brought back to the present and reminded to think about what needs to be done and about his personal hygiene and it works very well.
So far it's been working great for us

Since nothing else has worked for my stubborn five year old, we gave this watch a try even thought that it has some negative reviews. So far it's been working great for us. Even though it is not supposed to be water proof and many people listed this as a complaint, the watch has already survived two incidents where my son forgot to take it off before his shower / bath. Still going strong. Initially the vibrating alarm irritated my son, but he got used to it. Setting the alarms is a little tedious, but I guess that comes with the customization options you have.
vibration uses battery fast
M. ChenAugust 27, 2017
For the reason I bought this watch it works well. My son needs a gentle reminder to use the bathroom. SO I have set the 'TR' function to run between 8am and 5pm and go off every 30 minutes. And the fact it vibrates means it doesn't tell other people he needs to think about using the bathroom.

If I were just shopping for a normal watch I would not be happy with this. But try to find another watch that can schedule vibrating reminders at certain times at certain intervals.

The vibration DOES use the battery more, esp if you don't turn off the notification and let it time out itself.

After under 3 months I have just changed the battery. Once you unscrew the 4 case screws, the case can come off. This CAN be done with the strap on but you have to wiggle the case cover up back and forth to get past the strap holders. There IS an O-ring that looks like it was impatiently placed. This might explain some users' issues with water.

Once you do that, WATCH for the little spring. Then there are 5 MORE even SMALLER screws you have to remove. A jeweler's philips screwdriver, tweezers, a strong light, and a napkin or magnetic tray are required.

Once those 5 screws are removed the plastic ring can be lifted enough to slide the battery out. I slid the new cr2032 in, and reversed the process.

reserve plenty of time, do things slowly.

I'd probably give it 3.5 stars given the difficulty of replacing the battery every few months. However for the price I can't find another watch that has these functions.
Lifesaver for forgetful kids. Great customer service.

We bought this for my 10 year old son who has ADHD and often forgets to do things at school because his teacher thinks he should be responsible for himself and does not want to hand hold him. I understand this, but a therapist mentioned to me that research suggests that giving prompts does help kids in the future. So, we took a chance on this. He has set the vibration alarm to remind him to do things at specific times. The watch works perfectly to remind him. It has withstood general rough play and a little getting wet. The only problem is when he decides to ignore the alarm - but this is hardly the watch's fault.
When we came to change the battery (watch strap is rather irritating to get back in again so it is a shame that the vibration wears down the battery so quickly and the strap needs to be removed to change it), the buttons didn't regain full functionality after putting it back together. I contacted the company about this and right away they said they would send me a new watch, which they did. I hardly every write reviews but think that this watch truly merits one.
... now and so far this has seriously been the best thing ever for my son
EricaJuly 28, 2016
We have only had the watch for 3 days now and so far this has seriously been the best thing ever for my son. He has a hard time breaking away from playing to use the restroom. Literally for 2 years we have battled this. The watch has been a savior. We no longer have to remind him. The watch vibrates strong enough to break through even the deepest iPad trance and he knows everytime he has to use the bathroom. He thinks it's awesome because no one knows that he's being reminded by the watch, and so he feels super cool that now we can keep our pants dry by ourself! Some other reviews mentioned instructions being difficult I didn't have that at all. They're printed really small but I found it really easy to program. The band looks strong enough to withstand my boy! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because its not water proof. I'll update if anything changes but this far, both mom and son are very big fans!
