I bought this because I needed an AM radio. I've had a sony alarm clock for the last 12+ years that works well but I have someone with me now who's commandeered it. And I have another alarm clock that I don't use.
This is my first time buying this brand and i checked out reviews from other products they have here before making the informed decision to purchase.

First of all the price is great. This radio is small. I'm not sure why I assumed it to be bigger but the size is perfect.
Display has 3 ranges where you can adjust the brightness. My regular clocks have 2.
It's also extremely lightweight, weighs less than my alarm only clock.
It has battery back up which from looking at it appears to take 2 AA batteries. This makes it perfect for me for camping and the worst occassion when the power goes out due to the weather.
Reception is very good. It picks up both AM and FM receptions well. It's got a digital tuner which is great. My regular radio is fuzzy with the FM station I usually listen to so I tend to listen when i'm driving instead but this works perfectly well. It even picks up the spanish am station which my car finds hard to get a good reception to.
The buttons seem fine to me. I'm usually the kind who has to read the manual to operate certain things. I took this right out of the box and figured most of the stuff out. The time is set, i've figured out how to do the presets for the station. I really haven't set the alarm yet because I've taken time off work.
It takes very little space on my book-occupied nightstand.

The only reason why I took off a star is the volume. The volume is digital as well and the 1 setting is high for the lowest setting in my opinion. I like to have soft radio or music in the background when I sleep and the lowest setting was louder than I could tolerate. This is where I wish it was a dial button where I could set it to where I want. the next setting below the 01 setting is the 00 setting which is basically mute. Of course if you're looking for a radio that you can play throughout the house, the volume this tiny thing packs will serve you well.

If you are looking for an alarm clock with good reception for AM/FM, especially AM, this is perfect at a terrific little price.

It's sitting on our nightstand next to our bed and it is just the perfect size. Also fits in well with our decor. Easy to read day or night.

This unit was very easy to set up and operate. I also like that the radio volume starts softly and then increases gradually.
