Prior to owning a shewee, I had no idea just how liberating it would be to pee on a tree. I swear I spent an entire afternoon double-fisting water bottles just so I could keep marking trees as "mine"!
I knew other women in the running world who had these, but never had that much of a need myself until about midway through my pregnancy when squatting in the woods on a hike became a legitimate safety issue. As other users have said, its important to practice in the shower before whipping it out for real. It also helps if you have water available to rinse it out afterwards. Its not a big deal if you don't. Its just the difference of putting a clean-ish one back in the case versus not.
Every trail runner, hiker, pregnant chick, and woman who ever wondered what it felt like to pee on a tree needs one of these!

Have not mastered the use of this thing yet but it is a good concept for women who camp and hike.
This is a pretty cool tool but I recommend practice over the toilet ...

This is a pretty cool tool but I recommend practice over the toilet with clothes on rather than in the shower naked. The instructions suggest opening your pants and shifting your underwear to one side, but be careful because pressure from your underwear can cause the item to tilt and leak. I have better luck inserting from the top. I do not use the extender because the heaviest pants I wear are jeans and it's not necessary. Wiping with clothes on is a little tricky so I use a thin liner to catch drips at least until I master the technique. The case is large and cumbersome, but can't really get smaller and hold both parts. It's bigger than my glasses case. Don't forget to put the seat down!

As soon as I can convince my wife to actually try this thing, I'll come back and update my review. So far, I give it 5 stars for looks. Maybe I need to quit buying her things in hopes that she'll go camping with me.
