I bought this primarily for my very long-haired and matted Maine Coon cat. She loves it! And so do I. it has removed her mats, and hands-full of very fine, fly-away undercoat. She now comes to me every morning to be combed. My other, shorter haired cats love it too. It makes our lives so much more enjoyable -- and less hairy. My vacuum cleaner appreciates it too!

My English Springer has very fine hair that is prone to matting. Other combs/brushes I've tried either grab nothing or pull the mats so much it hurts my dog. This brush works great! The teeth are rounded so there's is no scratching of her skin. The sharp edges on the upper teeth cut through the mats with minimal pulling. Our little princess doesn't look like a raggamuffin any longer! We love this comb!

I ordered this to use on my heavy-coated Golden Retriever. With the two separate heads, it not only removes the heavy undercoat it does a great job on the topcoat. I also appreciate the padded handle. This is a great help if you have a dog with a heavy hair coat. You would find it very useful for a dog with a heavy undercoat.

I have a Himalayan and ragdoll both with incredibly dense undercoats. They don't like to be brushed (of course) and it's a struggle to keep up with the tons of mats they get. I've tried many different sprays and liquid products, I've paid $60 a cat for grooming. Nothing works on these two. I started researching other options and came up with this brush on a Google search and I started trolling for reviews. There wasn't an overwhelming amount for cats which is why I wanted to review it. If you have a long haired, dense coated and sensitive cat this is a great brush. There is sharp edges inside of it and it actually helps thin the hair out at the base. You don't ever want to cut but I've had to at times. This brush had both cats looking great and they don't run when I approach with the brush! I would fully recommend this for a cat!
