The concert title is right on ! I was there and it was a Hot August Night in August of 1972. I witnessed what could be argued was the Greatest Pop/Rock Concert EVER! Neil Diamond gave the Best Performance of his Impressive Career.Most everybody was standing the entire Concert, and The Tree People were screaming from their vantage point.A special Gudo must be given to the talented Musicians, especially Denis St John doing the Drumming which was almost as important to the Show as Neil. The Sound Engineers deserve special mention as well.It was a night that those of us lucky enough to be there will never forget !

Neil Diamond has come a long way as a great song writer and singer, but this early album is his best. It ranks up there with Beautiful Noise as a groundbreaking music treat.

Personal listening. Always the best

I was so excited to gift this record to my father as he was at the Greek that night and even made it into the audience photograph. His record burned in an accident and losing that memento really upset him. The concert is something he talks about all the time-- the crowd, how everybody thought it was the orchestra warming up as the concert actually started, the tree people, how he brought his best friend's ex girl to the show and didn't end up liking her--but man was the concert good!--and how much the experience changed and inspired him. My dad truly idolizes Neil Diamond. I decided to try to hunt down a copy of the record that had the audience photograph since he used to love to point himself out to friends and visitors, and since his childhood home burned down in the Bel Air fire, which caused him to lose many photos and memories, it was important for me to find this one for him. He was so beyond happy with the record and even cried when I gave it to him. He put the record on his player immediately and I was able to listen to his stories all over again. That sort of experience is priceless. The customer service was superb, and I cannot speak highly enough of Bob and how helpful and accommodating he has been. The shipping was very quick, especially considering it was ordered just before a holiday. I highly, highly recommend this product and seller.
