These are hard to find in grocery stores. They are delicious in my frozen fruit salad

The labels on the cans were damp and moldy. Had to throw one can out

Love these cherries! There is nothing as good as a homemade cherry pie or turnovers made with these cherries. The recipe that used to be on the back of the label is available on line and is worth following. I always use the optional almond extract because it adds that indescribable perfection to the finished product. If you are a "tart" flavor lover, reduce the sugar a little and you will not be sorry. Often I make turnovers using only one can of cherries and Pepperidge Farm's Puff Pastry that I roll out to accommodate 6-8 turnovers.....they disappear rapidly. I used to be able to get these in my local supermarkets, but they no longer carry them. Seems they are so intent on selling their own brands these days that they are eliminating the tried and true brands we have used for years. It is sad so I was very pleased to be able to get them now through Amazon. Thank you.
