Searched and searched for a simple bike with no gears or hand brakes to deal with. Had a $600.00 Trek I got fed up with. Had flat every time I touched it-front tire would go flat then rear within a week. After 5 or 6 flats, once just sitting in garage, I got mad and and took it to Goodwill. Found this bike at Academy Sporting Goods for $79.00 assembled. First thing I did was take fenders off. Seat is large and not bad but I ordered what is hopefully more comfortable seat from Amazon. Haven't ridden but a few times, but so far no problems at all. If I have tire problems as some reviewers have stated I will order Kevlar tires and better tubes from Amazon for 60 bucks. The good thing is I can spend pretty good on this bike and still not have much of an investment.
easy to put together

Bike overall seems well made, easy to put together. The rotating assemblies & the fork bearings kind of grind a little so I will repack all the bearings before riding. My biggest complaint is the really cheap tires & inner tubes. My bike came out of the box with one tire flat. I tried to inflate it, no luck. I took it out & it had a 3" split. I got a new inner tube, installed it, inflated it to the point where the unknown split in the tire & the new inner tube erupted in not only a new inner tube ruined but the tire unrepairable.
Great bike for the price but the inner tubes used are cheap and exploded when inflated to prescribed 40 psi.

The bicycle arrived in great shape, however, the rear tire was flat and the front tire was soft. I inflated the front tire to the prescribed 40 psi and the inner tube exploded. The back tire inner tube had a hole near the valve and needed to be replaced as well. It was easier for me to buy two new tubes and replace them immediately. Did that and the bike was in service. The metal work, paint and packaging were flawless. It is a shame the manufacturer supplied cheap inner tubes. For the purchase price of a sharp looking beach cruiser, the flawed inner tubes were a minor inconvenience.

It came very quickly! It was very simple to assemble, and so far it is very good quality and the green is very nice color even for a boy. It came with little "fern" type decals and it adds a nice, subtle touch. . My 14 year old loooooves it! Great buy!!
