May be I was not lucky.. First of all the beans are very bad shape, not even, bad looking, too lightly roasted for espresso. It is actually medium on a package ,, Should it be darker for espresso? Low low quality....Hate to type bad review , almost never do...But after more then a week I must say it still creates nice steady crema and tastes well .. I would prefer it did not say premium and would be advertised as medium roast

I hate writing bad reviews. I want to like everything I buy, even if it is not perfect, but this coffee, oh my. Bad. Bad. Horrid. I can still taste the burnt sour acid in the back of my throat. Lots of other reviewers making similar comments in the year 2017. Something must be going on with this brand, and it isn't good. Beans were old and dry. Makes a terrible tasting espresso. Unless you enjoy that sort of thing, avoid this at all costs.
Ooooooo, I finally found something that works.

This is a nice bean. I have been looking for good beans for espresso, and I like the results of this a lot. It's not terribly bold or dark which results in a less bitter shot. I just have a mid range Breville machine so I'm no bistro, but this definitely makes a good latte.
I also tried the Super Crema. It's also a good bean, but it has a little more flavor. I definitely prefer this bean personally, and I plan on purchasing more Lavazza in the future.

We love this coffee. It came in a massive bag, and apparently the beans should be refrigerated after opening. I now have a huge container of coffee beans in my fridge, but it's lasting a while!
