Works pretty well for that

This shade works will with one exception. With an iPad Air 2, I had to cut out part of the mating flange so I could access the home button. Without the mod, the flange covers the home button. The shade tilts which offers a feature that another vendor brags about with their product's angled shade. That brand isn't sold on Amazon but is made especially for Drone pilots. The tilt can eliminate glare depending on the current conditions. I use my shade to fly on DJI Go. Works pretty well for that. Just flexible enough to get you hand onto the screen to make changes.

This product is needed if you like to view your iPad outdoors. However, the idea of the sun shade is better than the execution. The sun shade is made well with quality materials and mounts pretty quickly around a standard iPad. However, the side panels use magnets to connect. Either stronger magnets or Velcro would work better. Slight movements disconnect sides. Also, the shade perimeter should expand slightly farther from the edges of the iPad. Currently you must view directly into the "tunnel" effect created by the vertical panels. A greater perimeter would make viewing more comfortable by reducing the viewing angle and still block sunlight. I apologize if I'm confusing readers.

Greatly reduces outside glare and makes using an iPad in sunlit conditions practical. On an iPad Air 2, the home button is inaccessible which is a greater inconvenience than it might appear to be. I'm trying to come up with a retrofix solution but haven't yet. Overall worth the price if you want to use such a device outdoors.
