makes good coffee, filters burst

Do I love it? Do I hate it? Both! I love being able to use my own coffee. But the filters burst ALL THE TIME, leaving coffee grounds in the machine, which I'm sure isn't good for it. Reducing the amount of coffee I put into it helps, but then it only makes a weak or small cup of coffee. What I've been doing is using two filters at a time, and making two cups of coffee. I'm not sure it's cost effective at that point. BUT, I do like producing less plastic waste, and the coffee does taste better than the regular pods.
BEST refillable out of five-this one works well!

BEST refillable I've found...all others leak grounds into coffee. A friend gave me one of these and a few papers, along with a couple of filters, and I've ordered and returned three other's that were screened, one-supposedly gold but actually had grey mesh...I finally decided to order just another "purple-perfect" [my nick-name for the cups]. I realized I'd finally found a way to use my coffee, and recycle the papers. And, in a pinch, I rinsed one of these out while waiting for my new box to arrive, and it was still MUCH better than any throwaway pod I've tried so far! plan on sticking with this system.

Great for diner style weak side coffee, but not for a strong robust cup of coffee.

It's great if you like your coffee on the weak side. I like my coffee on the strong side and robust, so this doesn't work for me. There's a fine line, not marked on the capsule, between weak coffee and a blown out filter that sends 75% of the grounds into your cup. A great design for drinking diner style coffee. Leaves me starving for a stronger cup of coffee and cleaning up the mess.
6/7/2017 Update: I tried taking the spring out of the spring by pressing down on it, so much so that it actually snapped out of the holder. The little piece that held the spring in place snapped off. However; now that the spring is less springy, I can put more coffee in the filter, I even pack in down a little, and I get my stronger cup of coffee that I've been starving for. So far, no exploded filters like I had before the surgery.

We have not switched to these for daily use and so happy. One scoop of good coffee and no guilt throwing more plastic into the landfill. We have learned to go with a bit stronger coffee than usual just so that we do not have to fill it to the rim. We have been using the Illy dark roast and can't be a happier. We also bought a second one so that we can prepare it while the machine is running on the first one. One suggestion is to buy some extra filters and keep an eye on them. It is amazing how may we go through (2 pp 2 cups or more a day) so we now order the replacement filters before we run out. Wish they would come out with a larger size package for the filters.
One of the best and most useful purchases made in a long time!

Love this simple device!!! So easy to use... just follow the directions and it makes the perfect cup of coffee!!! I like a really full flavored coffee and with this, I realized that using it and a 6 oz selection of water gives just that! It tastes so much better than even a pot of drip made coffee! So glad I made the purchase and anyone else should be too! On our old Keurig, we had purchased the company made one with a nice screened insert.. but no matter what we did, grounds ended up in every cup of coffee. We then got the 2.0 and this just changes everything! Another excellent feature of it is ease of cleanup - just carefully remove the pod from the machine while it is still hot and carefully remove the top, then just flip over the garbage can and the filter pops out with no mess!
