Purchased this pillow a week ago and so far I love it. I spend hours nursing my baby and my back was killing me before I had this pillow. As soon as I started using it my back pain disappeared. Highly recommend it to any breastfeeding moms out there.
Cons: the cover is too thin and if your breast leaks or the baby spits out on it it will go through the cover directly into the foam. And that will create mold which is very very bad for the baby. So I came up with a solution of putting a thin changing pad on the pillow then I place my baby on it so in case she decides to spit up or blow her diaper while nursing. Thai is what happened to the best friend pillow that I got from my sister in law to use. When I took the cover off to wash it I saw that the foam had black spots all over the surface and I figured it was all the milk that night have been stuck inside and it grew mold. So I threw away her pillow an purchased a brand new one for myself to use. It would be much more convenient if the cover for the pillow was waterproof as the pillow is not cheap and any mom would use it for hours every day for at least 6 months.

This pillow was a God-send for me while I was trying to figure out nursing. It works a lot better than the Boppy for my newborn. It creates a flat, stable platform to nurse and your newborn won't slowly push the pillow out and fall into the space between. At the beginning, I would take this pillow anywhere I was going to go where I planned on nursing. As I've become more comfortable nursing, I've tried to diversify and use other pillows or random couch pillows. I can do it now without this pillow, but I don't prefer it. It is so much easier on my back to use this one and involves so much less tugging to keep it in place. This is the style of pillow my lactation consultant had and I plan to buy one for every baby shower I go to from now on.

This nursing pillow has been a lifesaver! I'm curvier (5'9", currently a size 18 at 3 weeks post-delivery, carry most of my weight in my midsection), and the Boppy I received as a shower gift didn't fit around me comfortably. Regular bed pillows were too squishy and a big hassle. My daughter was having latch issues due to positioning, and I was in so much pain that I was ready to give up on breastfeeding. A friend let me try her My Brest Friend pillow, and the difference it made was remarkable!

Pros:
- because it fastens around you, it prevents you from having to constantly adjust it, and it keeps both hands free to position the baby correctly. Plus it gives you support in the back.
- firm and flat so my daughter stays in place while nursing.
- I can fasten it high enough so that it wasn't resting on my incision while I was healing after my c-section.
- has a pocket for keeping snacks, a burp cloth and my daughter's pacifier.

Cons:
- the cover isn't the best. It's very thin, rough cotton, and while the softness has improved with washing, it has faded a lot and I'm worried it won't hold up that long. I've only had it for 2 weeks, but the cover looks years old (I have to wash it several times a week because my daughter spits up a lot).
- the buckle. My friend's pillow has the "deluxe" cover, which is a solid color fleece that has a velcro closure instead of the buckle. The velcro definitely has more room/length for adjustment, so you might want to consider it if you're plus sized. The buckle is also advertised on the packaging as being "silent" when you release it so that it doesn't wake up a baby who's fallen asleep nursing. It's not. Thankfully my daughter doesn't wake easily. The velcro would be probably be louder though.
- not waterproof, but this is easily fixed. Other reviewers suggested taking the cover off and then putting the plastic packaging that the pillow comes in over the foam insert, zipping it, and then zipping the cover over top of the plastic. This keeps spit up and milk from seeping into the foam, and it makes putting the cover back on after washing it SO MUCH EASIER because it just slides over the plastic. The plastic does make the pillow noisy, but if you have a spitty baby like I do, you have to protect the foam or you're going to end up with a smelly mess.

I can't say enough about how much I love this thing and how much it's helped me with breastfeeding. I will be recommending it to all of my friends and probably be giving it as a shower gift in the future.

I love just about everything about this nursing pillow. It actually stays in place and doesn't slide down like the boppy. There's no annoying gap between the pillow and my stomach. I just wish that it wasn't as hard on the top. It's not at all comfortable for my baby to be directly on the pillow. I have to put a thick blanket on it, then my baby on top. Also, it has useless bumps on each side on the top. They're probably there to lift the baby's head. They're only about 1/4-1/2 inch in thickness, but it's enough to bug me and I don't like them one bit. Still, I would recommend this pillow in a heartbeat.

For my last 2 babies, I had a boppy pillow. It's fine, but a little annoying since it tends to slide around. So I got this to use with my new baby. It's....okay. it's much firmer than the boppy. The pattern we chose is nice, and the little pocket is handy. The pocket has elastic at the top so stuff won't fall out. I keep my son's RX eye drops and nipple cream in it. The thing I really don't like is the little humps on it (possibly to prop up baby's head?). They're awkward and too small to really support the baby's head. And for me, they make positioning for feeding more difficult.
