The product came with built-in unbleached baking paper which was convenient but the bake box itself is too lightweight for a heavy batters. It may work well for a very light batter but it did not work for us... Thankfully, Amazon was fantastic about allowing us to return the case we ordered absent our couple of test units.
Love these wood baking forms

I use different sizes of these molds. They are wonderful for a variety of baked goods (some are good for quiche, too!). If you are new to them, they do have a liner so you aren't actually baking on wood. The wood is simply a framework that holds the shape (as is the function of traditional metal baking tins). The neat part is that the wood adds so much flair to presentation to some otherwise plain-looking (but tasty) foods. And we do "eat" with our eyes first. If you buy more liners, the wood could be reused if you didn't get food baked onto them. They aren't really washable..in fact they can be a bit delicate. When you bake with them, it's easiest to put the molds onto a sheet pan for fuss free insertion and removal from the oven. Perhaps my biggest tip is to inspect your shipment upon arrival. Most of the time, they arrive just fine, but I recently received a case in which about half the molds were shattered somewhere along the line. It's not readily noticeable, so check each sleeve along the corners and the bottoms. There are holes in the bottom corners...that would be normal. There shoild be no separated seams. You can't repair these molds once they're broken.
