With a history of hair dying for almost 15 years, I have experienced"‹ so many different products and brands. Most of them caused my hair to get dry and transformed into a totally different hair type during these years. I don't even mention how most of the hair dyes don't actually cover the gray hair.
I am thankful for finding this specific brand and hair color (R3 Light Intense Auburn ). I have been using this product for about 4 months now. It covers gray hair perfectly (I detected no gray hair after each application). The best thing is that it doe not fade away or stain during an entire month.

I've used this brand before but it was way cheaper here than Target. I got golden brown and love it for two reasons:

1) It's Garnier. I've only used Garnier hair dye products because it doesn't dry out my hair or make me break out in split ends like others have.

2) The color actually came out! I have jet black hair but medications I've been on recently had me sprouting white hairs so I decided to dye my hair a nice warm brown that would complement my honey-toned skin. Color came out gorgeous and the fact that you can actually see the brown (other colors never came out with my strong black hair) was HUGE for me. It looks so nice, some strands came out even more golden so it looks like I even got highlights.

My roots began to show which isn't really a bad thing because now I got the whole hombre look going on! Except I didn't have to pay over $200 for it. So this dye is PERFECT and even when my own hair starts to grow out, it becomes even more complimentary!

I have used boxed hair dye for many years and this is the same routine. This one has a stronger smell than most brands nowadays though.

The dye worked fine, but because of the bold colors, it washes out quicker than the standard natural colors.

One reason to rate this low: the violet is NOT violet, its red. I've used other brands of violet hair dye that were much more purple. My hair is dark brown so this came out burgundy with red roots.

I dyed the underneath of my hair 2 weeks ago with the Dark Intense Indigo. For years, I have colored that area with a blue/black and wanted something with more blue to it but still darker in color. This seemed to be just what I was looking for. I used a bowl and a color brush to apply the dye. I never use the enclosed applicators as I always find them to be messy. That may be why I didn't have any issues with dripping as some others have stated. It went on easy and didn't leave my bathroom looking like a dye packet just exploded. I made sure to saturate the hair and left it on the allotted time. While rinsing, the water wasn't dark like some other colors I've used and didn't cause any problems with staining of the tub. The dye that got on my skin came off easy (I always apply Vaseline all around my hairline and neck before putting any color on) and there wasn't any major lingering staining on my skin. The conditioner made my hair feel soft and I didn't suffer any damage to the ends. That was the good things about it. Now the bad things. It didn't grab completely. Lucky for me this is just the underneath of my hair, but there was blotchiness where the color didn't hold, an issue I've never had before. Also, after two weeks I'm still seeing color residue on my towel after I wash my hair. Although I initially did get the color I was looking for, dark with subtle but noticeable blue tones, it seems to be washing away fairly quickly, leaving just a black/brown behind. I've always been able to hold color really well so this is a bit disappointing. I don't think I'll be buying this color again.

I remember why I dont buy this brand, everytime I end up with orange hair. Does not matter color to start or what color the dye is its always gonna be orange and thats now a fact. my natural color is a med brown colored dark expresso and this dye gave me very orange roots ugh....
