I would like to give this 5 stars but sadly they are only available for a certain few phones. However, the primary reason for my purchase was as a remote access for my Android phone and it easily paired via Bluetooth. A download was suggested that doesn't appeal to me. I tried it and it didn't increase the usability of my phone, though someone younger might enjoy it. It is easy to use and I am satisfied. I didn't know the access was possible for specfic phones and it doesn't matter for my usage. A good option for group pics, closeup images using the high quality 12x (all metal exterior) zoom lens where it is best to use a tripod and this remote to avoid bounce due to touching the phone.

Received my CamKix Wireless Camera Controller today on time as promised. Upon opening it i liked it immediately. I like the design, fit and finish of the controller. It came in a cool heavy ziplock case. Since I have an iPhone 7, it was nice that the bigger button is reserved for iOS users while Android users get a smaller button.

The instructions were very easy to understand with no fluff and no filler.

It took me all of less than one minute to pair my phone to this unit. Once paired, there is no need to download an app for it to work. It is literally plug and play, maybe more like pair and play.

The iOS button is what you press to take pictures. The camera settings I selected (I only chose video recording and camera mode) worked flawlessly with the big iOS button. When using video, the button starts and stops the video. When you press it again it records a brand new one. I am a musician at my church and I like to take videos of my playing so I can make improvements to my craft. Now I don't have to try to set up the camera to the right position then hurry back to my instrument in time to play. Also, when you power off the device with the small selector switch on the side, when you power it up again, it pairs with phone instantly and you are ready to take pictures and video immediately!

This product has exceeded my expectations in every way! Almost forgot, the wrist lanyard was an extra bonus.

This photo remote works great! I use it with my iPhone 6 Plus. It was really easy and quick to set up and really easy to use after. I really loved the wrist strap that is adjustable so it doesn't slip off your wrist while you're running around. I photograph hundreds of items a week and are each staged on a mannequin. It is really convenient to be able to set up my phone on a tripod and put the mannequin where I need it and be able to dress the mannequin, use the button to snap the photo while standing next to the mannequin (just out of range of the picture of course), and then undress, rinse and repeat. It saves quite a bit of time to do it that way rather than running back and forth between the two and inevitably bumping into the tripod one (or 10!) times and having to set it all back up just so again. If you have a little one who hangs around and likes to help you can even let them hold the remote and press the button for you. Warning: You might get a few unflattering pictures of yourself bending over trying to get the next outfit just right though as they can snap it at any moment. Ha! My kiddos really love it. I highly recommend this product.

Best buy in a liftetime. I spent alot of money on a brand name that I won't mention.
I gave it away. This device is sturdy as the high dollar one, but guess what? It has a bluetooth
wireless remote that took only seconds to set up and made my life happy.

I've worked in the technology field for more years than I care to admit and sometimes find myself being a "techo-tard". I stumbled across these as part of a daily deal and after reading the reviews I purchased one for myself and thought "this will make my life so much easier". I immediately thought this would be a great product to purchase for others in my office as part of a christmas bag a put together for them every year.

With my original purchase I went around the office like a kid with a new toy and I had hours of fun taking selfies and experimenting with the different picture and video app's to find out which ones worked and which ones didn't. I only found one app that would not work with this remote, it's a one off and wasn't that great of and app to begin with.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is into photography or videography. If I could give it 10 stars I would.
