Defective product very dissatisfied

This rain barrel did not have an opening in the top for rain to enter the barrel. We had to cut and opening and fit screen over it so that mosquitos couldn't access it. The description states it has a planter on top. The only thing that could be considered a planter is the recess in the top. I consider the product defective. I didn't return it because it would have still cost me the $80 delivery fee.
bad diverter

The rain barrel is OK. A close inspection reveals its unimpressive plastic texture. But it looks nice from the street, especially since it's partially hidden behind a plant.
The diverter, however, is horrible. When it rains heavily, the diverter can not keep up with the flow. Water squirts out of the sides and backs up along the length of the downspout and even on the gutter itself. The gutter is so backed up that we have a waterfall about 5 feet long.
I would recommend the rain barrel, especially for its large capacity. But the diverter is just plain bad. How did it ever pass product review?
On our 2nd rain barrel, we have a different diverter (Fiskars 5962 Rain Barrel DiverterPro Kit). Much better and keeping up with water flow and it even lets you clean out debris.

Poor design and bad customer service

This rain barrel is not worth the price. The diverter valve design is poor quality and has no good way to clean it out debris. The materials used for the hose and connection are very cheap and low quality. The instructions in the manual were incorrect on where to drill the holes. Overall I do not recommend to buy the rain barrel. The only positive it does have a nicer look then most rain barrels but it is all cosmetic and no quality.
