Before you purchase this item just be aware that this is advertised as an urn but is more a jar. The top (head) sits lightly on top of the jar part. There is nothing to secure it to the jar. It doesn't seal. It is a little top heavy so place it where it wouldn't be knocked easily. If you are wanting this to hold ashes like an urn this might not be the item for you. Another issue is that it is very large to hold just cat ashes. My cat's ashes covered only about 1/4 of the bottom of the jar. Otherwise it is exactly as it is pictured. The colors are bright and well painted onto the jar. It is not a flimsy or a cheap looking item for a resin made product. The item was very securely packaged. I did have an issue with it arriving on the date they quoted me but did receive an email from Amazon saying it would be late. If you are not in any rush, like I was, to receive it then this won't be an issue for you.
pretty good for the price

The media could not be loaded. ordered this for my beloved cat because i have an obsession with egyptian mythology. it's very large, could fit 3-4 bags of my cat's ashes and he was pretty big. it'd fit human ashes too, probably. it's somewhat cheaply made, sturdy enough to drop on carpet without breaking but doesn't look very high quality, though that's expected for the price. the only issue it has for me is that the lid doesn't stay closed very well. it doesn't lock so if you tilt it, it'll just fall right off.

I got this for our 16 yo cat that passed in October. Good quality, would recommend. The lid does come off easily, but we have the urn in an area where it won't be tipped over. We haven't decided if we'll seal the urn get, but it would be very easy to do so.
Larger then I needed.

I got this for a cremated cat. You could fix multiple if you wanted. Over all very nice.
A fitting resting place for a little goddess

During the week between Christmas and New Year's, my little 17 year old tiger cat passed away. As a tiny kitten she'd literally run into my house and then stole my heart. When naming her, "Sekhmet" (lion headed Egyptian goddess) kept popping into my head, so I went with it. Being a neurotic little thing, she quickly became Sekkie the suck-up. Needless to say, I'm heartbroken.
In the past, when I'd lost a beloved pet, friends graciously allowed me to use a small piece of their rural property. Between a nasty winter, issues with erosion, and coyote looking to dig up anything they could, cremation was the best option. I looked through dozens of listings for pet urns and they were either too sappy or too plain. This urn was the perfect and most fitting choice. It's beautifully made, there is a thin felt pad on the bottom of the jar as well as the bottom of the top/head. While the top doesn't seal, I plan to put it on a shelf where the top won't get knocked off. The cremains of my little auld tiger fit inside with room to spare, so when my remaining cat passes (hopefully a decade or so from now), she can rest with Sek.
Tl;Dr: a quality piece that would be a lovely room decoration for those fond of Egyptian art, as well as being ths "purrfect" resting place for a feline companion.
