I purchased this for a remodel job for a client. I had to provide the handle to the glass company for the custom shower so that they could bore the holes in the glass prior to tempering.

This product was not as pictured. The hex nuts were on the top/bottom of the handle on the inside and top side, not on the sides as pictured. I opted to put the handle with the nuts on the exterior of the shower door so water would not sit in the hex hole or drain into the handle. The nuts on the inside of the handle were very tedious to tighten with a limited range of twisting access.

When the glass was being installed, the two installers spent over an hour trying to get the door handle to stay on. They gave up and left it barely on and it came off with one pull.
I spent an additional hour trying to get the handle to stay on. I finally figured out that the brass bulb that extends through the hole in the glass had to be unscrewed substantially to allow for the hex nut screws to tighten down on the smaller end of the brass bulb. But it still came off easily and I had to loosen the brass bulb even more. In addition, the handle would not tighten completely and there was a lot of wiggling. After some use by the client, it got even looser!
Another trip to the job site, I inspected it again. I had to disassemble it. I inserted a sleeve spacer around the extended screw that is attached to the brass bulb. In addition I had to insert tiny shims around that to prevent the sideways movement of the handle in the hole that was bored in the glass get the brass bulb through. So far it is still on. It has only been two weeks since the last fix.
I paid over $100 for the 8" handle. It is a nice design but not as pictured and very difficult to install with modifications required.

Just what I was looking for. Great product.

These are beautiful, heavy handles, and my contractor was able to use one 2-sided one and convert it into two single-sided handles for two different barn doors. Then on the interior (back side) of the doors we used recessed pulls allowing installation the normal distance from the wall. We found black plugs to cover the bolts coming from the front side. Doors and walls are not yet painted. Along with these handles, recessed pulls and hook-and-eye locks were purchased here on Amazon, black barn door hardware from The Home Depot.

Love this handle. Adds just the right look to my modern front door. Very sturdy
