Saves your Back

This tool is long and definitely saves ones back when harvesting a lot of asparagus. The only drawback that I've found that is that it can be tricky to slip the blade into a spot where there are many stalks, some of which are ready to be picked and others not. That slowed me down a bit, but overall, I think it was a good purchase.
Slices through things like butter

Holy moly, this thing is HEAVY DUTY. Really love it and works perfectly. Definitely not cheaply made. I use it to weed all the rediculously tough weeds in my garden and it slices through it like butter.
Blade Too Wide

The blade measures 2" even though advertised as 1.5". It is way too big for me to feel comfortable that I'm not hitting other asparagus spears under the soil. Now that I see it, I think even 1.5" is a bit big for my liking. My spears are 3\4". As a weeder, yes it's sturdy and sharp.

This is a well designed and well built product. Yes the metal ring is very loose and falls down, but is a minor inconvenience. Just glue it on with a silicon sealer. The knife is exactly as advertised and cuts asparagus cleanly I would buy again.
