Great Mushrooms
LucaMay 11, 2018
I couldn't believe how large the jar was when these mushrooms arrived. The pieces are large, not just tiny pieces and stems. They smell earthy like porcini are supposed to smell. I haven't seen any evidence of mold or insects like some reviewers have reported.
Dirty, dead worms full of worm holes
Ira SDecember 31, 2017
These are definitely not grade AA. Worm holes, I even saw dead worms floating around when I was hydrating them in boiling water. Lots of other gross stuff. Not cleaned correctly. Who knows where these are from. Sketchy private label. Looked like a label was slapped over another label. I suspect these are NOT mushroom house brand, but fake perhaps. I'm going to guess that they are wild mushrooms from China. Mushrooms were not bone dry, and no dehydrating packet in the container.
Bugs!
PK December 31, 2017
I recently opened this product to use and found bug crawling around in the sealed container.
... this product a few times and have been very pleased with it
Phillip CallJune 4, 2017
I've only used this product a few times and have been very pleased with it. Risotto had a very nice flavor using the broth created from re-hydrating these as well as the mushrooms themselves. So, so far so good. And a great bargain!
Full of dirt.
Saundra StrasserNovember 28, 2015
These mushrooms are full of dirt. I even rinsed them before adding them to my stroganoff, but there is still a grittiness to the dish you just can't ignore. I was hoping I had found good bulk dried mushrooms but it looks like I will be tossing the whole canister, waste of money.
