Was nice for 1 1/2 years

Was nice for 1 1/2 years, then the clasp let loose and endangered my pro horn. Fortunately I had both hands on the instrument when the clasp fell apart.
A little on the complicated side, takes adjustment and getting used to.

Bought this to use with my baritone saxophone. Like other reviewers, I struggled to figure out how to put it on (you have to start on the left side, then attach the clip on the bottom right side.) It also takes a great deal of adjustment to fit correctly. Once on, it's much more comfortable to play bari sax than traditional neckstraps (which seriously hurt.) I'm sure once I've used this several dozen times I'll get used to it.
Good but could be better.

This is basically a good harness but there are some issues. First, the "Coated Metal Snap Swivel Hook" is metal and will wear the brass ring on the saxophone. The "coating" of the hook is only flat black paint. Do not expect a soft coating. The hook seems flimsy as well. I would prefer a good sturdy plastic hook. I slid some electrical shrink tubing around the hook to help cushion it. Second, my main complaint is the lack of instructions anywhere on how to use and adjust this harness. Nothing comes with the harness. I went to their web site and saw pictures of it from the front, but the back view would also be helpful. Here are some tips. Loosen all sliders, as out of the bag they come tightened. Slide the leather square all the way up to the shoulder pads. Put the harness over your head with the black side of the leather square facing out and the hook is in the front. This is where a second person is helpful but only needed for the initial adjustments. With the side strap snapped in, tighten all side or back straps as much as possible. Now adjust the front straps to put the hook at the desired level. This process may need to be repeated to get the best setup. As the back and side strap adjusters end up in the back, a second person makes this all easier. Once everything is as you like it, do not unsnap the side hook. Just slide the harness over your head to remove it or put it on. I don't think this harness would work well for a child as I am 5 foot 10 inches tall and 200 lbs and have all the straps pretty tight. Finally, the nylon straps and leather shoulder pads seem of good quality and are comfortable. I have used it with alto, tenor and baritone saxophone successfully.
Tried the harness with my bassoon and worked just fine, but I still prefer to use my BG ...

My bari sits way too low on my body, even when completely shortened; however, I am tall, skinny, and my neck is really long. I can compensate for the extra length by doubling the hook through the two metal rings on the front of the harness. Tried the harness with my bassoon and worked just fine, but I still prefer to use my BG shoulder strap unless I'm doubling.
Pretty Impressed

Seemed to be very well made. Great solution for someone who can't use a traditional strap.
