Very weird. Paper is super dry & hard. Wondering if manufacturing defect or fake. Recommend Carefresh natural paper. It's softer. This blue bag was an oddly good price of about $13 something. Still usable, just dry. Hurts my hands a little to touch!

This paper bedding on here is cheaper than it as other retailers. Pros: it is pretty and less dusty than other materials I have used. Cons: 1. It has zero odor control! I have 2 male Guinean pigs and literally as soon as I completely clean their cage and put them back in, it almost smelled instantly. I did not have that issue with other materials. 2. Despite the paper being cheaper on amazon it still is much more expensive than other materials. I will not use or buy again but happy I at least tried it.

I tried using this for my mice, but it was so dusty that it made both me and them sneeze. I have since switched them to Kaytee Clean & Cozy, which is virtually dust-free and does not bother any of our allergies. My mice also seem to much prefer the Kaytee Clean & Cozy for burrowing. While I wouldn't recommend this bedding for mice or rats, I will say that the odor control was quite good... That's the only thing I miss about it.

I've purchased this exact product on here and elsewhere and I know what it smells like. It has a slight smell, but it never smelled bad. The last 2 times I received this bedding from this seller the smell was so bad I could smell it through the package. It smelled sour and rotten like vinegar. When I put it in my piggies cage it smelled the whole room up and I had to throw it out. The smell lingered even after throwing it away! Don't waste your time and money.
