100% Coconut MCT Oil Liquid - MCT Oil C8 C10 for Sustained Mental Energy & Focus Support Great for Smoothies Salads Coffee & More - Palm Free Vegan Keto & Paleo Friendly 60+ Servings (32 Fl Oz)

Key features
- •MCT OIL SOURCED FROM COCONUTS: Not only is our MCT Oil from the highest quality source possible, it's also as fresh as possible. Unlike other MCT Oil's our product does not sit in warehouses for months. We buy direct from our supplier, as it comes off the line. This ensures the freshest MCT Oil possible. If you're new MCT oil, to avoid stomach discomfort start with 1/2 tsp and work up to a full serving size.
- •EASIER ON THE STOMACH: What makes our product superior? It's harvested from coconuts, not palm oil. It's delivered to us fresh from production (not sitting in a warehouse for months), it doesn't contain C12. It's third party tested. All of which leads to less consumers experiencing stomach discomfort.
- •PURE C8 / C10: Our blend is a 60 / 40 split of C8 and C10. C12 (a common fatty acid found in MCT Oil) behaves like a long chain triglyceride, it has no place in MCT (Medium Chain Triglyceride) Oil. What makes medium chain fatty acids unique is they are delivered to the liver and broken down for energy.
- •WHAT MAKES LEFT COAST PERFORMANCE UNIQUE? Unlike other small independent sellers of MCT oil we buy in large enough volumes to secure the highest quality oil for the best price. And unlike bigger brands we don't have inflated overheads and we don't sell to third party retailers. This all means we can offer better pricing on the highest quality oil.
- •NEW TO MCT? TO AVOID GI DISTRESS: Start Slowly to avoid GI distress. Potential Adverse Side Effects May Include: Upset Stomach, Diarrhea and Nausea. If you experience symptoms, discontinue use immediately.

Potty Time
Colette•September 18, 2017
I wrote them privately as requested, but did not hear back. I had loose poop, diarrhea and hot flashes the entire time I took this bottle. Hot flashes if I drank this in my coffee over the course of a few hours, diarrhea if I made the mistake of drinking it in 20 minutes.. So, yeah, not fun.
On the plus side, it had no real taste and did keep me fuller longer. Not sure about energy, maybe, maybe not.
Will try a different brand.

This is the first MCT Oil I have tried, and I am very happy with it after a week. The instructions included with the product said that some people might have stomach upset when they first consumed the product unless they first begin with only a small amount until their gut is accustomed to the oil. I used 1 tablespoon the first day and 2 tablespoons per day for the past 3 days, and I have not had any stomach upset, gas, or other negative side effects that a few reviewers have complained about.
I have found the oil to have absolutely no taste or smell. Before buying this brand, I read the bad reviews for all of the MCT Oils listed for sale here. A few people have posted negative reviews complaining that every single brand on Amazon having a bad smell and taste, and saying their previous and favorite brand never has such problems. Even though thousands of buyers have posted very positive reviews for each brand and reported no such problems with foul tastes or smell, there are a few reviews that make the same complaint with every brand, but never say the name of their "prefered brand". Since these bad reviews were always outnumbered by hundreds or thousands to one, I picked a brand that was cheaper, organic, had a money back guarantee, and had nearly a thousand 4 or 5 star reviews.
I only gave this product 4 stars rather than 5, because I would have preferred a glass bottle rather than a plastic one, but the only brand that used glass ones had lots of complaints that the bottle was difficult to pour from without lots of drips and spills. This bottle ships with one sealed cap that can't leak, and has a second flip-top cap to use once you open the package. The flip-top cap makes it much easier to pour controlled amounts without spilling or dripping. A pump dispenser would have even nicer.
I have type 2 diabetes and am trying to lose weight and better control my blood sugar by semi-fasting 3 days per week with only 500 calories on those days. I don't eat meat, and I sometimes have problems with headaches and low blood sugar during the night after a 500 calorie day. After reading about some positive effects a Ketogenic diet can have with blood sugar problems, I decided to try an MCT Oil supplement to consume in the evenings to see if it might help me with my blood sugar level. It has only been 4 days, so I don't know about any long term benefits yet. In the short term, I have noticed that I feel less hungry overnight when I consume a cup of hot chocolate with a tablespoon of MCT oil, compared to the same calories with more milk and no MCT Oil. I have not noticed it acting more quickly as is reported because of different absorption pathways from the gut. I do think that I feel satisfied for longer than with equal calories of whole milk without MCT Oil
Almost everything I had read online about MCT Oil recommends mixing with coffee. I tried adding it to my morning latte and didn't like it. It formed an oil slick on top of the coffee & milk that I didn't enjoy. It doesn't have any taste or smell, so the coffee tasted the same, but it had a very unpleasant greasy mouth-feel. Before bedtime, I enjoy having a mug of sugarless hot chocolate and tried adding the oil to it, with much better success. I normally mix either cacao or cocoa powder with a small amount of boiling water in a mug, then add milk, microwave, and then add a non-calorie sweetener. I added the MCT Oil to the hot water and cacao mixture before adding milk and heating. The MCT Oil seems to bind with the powder and emulsify in the milk much better than it did with coffee and milk. While I found the oil mixed with coffee and milk to be unpleasant feeling in my mouth, it was quite nice mixed with chocolate and milk. Unlike the greasy sensation mixed with coffee and milk, the MCT Oil and chocolate seem to help both emulsify better in the milk for a very nice and creamy feel and better taste.
I'll order it again when I've finished this bottle.

An MCT oil comparison (fractions of other brands listed) and my personal experiences
Andrew Young•April 28, 2017
SHORT REVIEW: Left Coast is a superb MCT oil"”and I've tried many, including Brain Octane (which I also love). For me: Measurable blood ketone boost when I'm cycling OFF my ketogenic diet, brain fog clears up and strong memory & cognitive boost (I'm a health and psychology writer), and no GI side effects on an empty stomach. In "fractional fatty acid" composition, it's very similar to Bulletproof XCT at a much lower price. I've been using it daily for over 11 months now. Also: If you care about small-batched, high-quality-controlled sources of your foods and supplements, then family-owned businesses like Left Coast are worth supporting. Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Left Coast or any resellers"”just a guy who cares about the health of myself, my friends, and my family.
LONG REVIEW FOR CONFIRMED BIO-HACKERS ONLY (C8 to C18 BREAKOUT COMPARISONS WITH SOME OTHER BRANDS I'VE USED):
Left Coast MCT Oil (this product)
C8 56%
C10 44%
With 1 Tb (tablespoon) of this plus 1 Tb butter in coffee, zero appetite for 4-5 hours. Perceptible boost from fatigue and brain fog, better short-term memory (about 13% when measured on luminosity's online app). When I'm OFF my HFLC (high fat, low carb) ketogenic diet, my Precision Xtra ketone blood meter shows 2-4 mmol/L over 0.5 baseline, after about 2 hours.
Brain Octane Oil (Bulletproof)
https://www.amazon.com/Bulletproof-Brain-Octane-Oil-Ounce/dp/B00R7FFYO8/
C8 100%
This gives me about the same ketone boost (though for others I know, much higher than a C8/C10 blend like Left Coast), YMMV.
XCT Oil (Bulletproof)
https://www.amazon.com/Bulletproof-XCT-Oil-32-fl-oz/dp/B00R7FFR86/
C8 and C10 combined: (individual ratios not specified): 100%
Very similar to the Left Coast product in terms of physical stamina, fatigue reduction, and mental clarity.
NOW MCT Oil
https://www.amazon.com/NOW-MCT-100-Oil-32-Ounce/dp/B0019LRY8A/
C8: 60% or more
C10: 35-40%
Other: 0-5%
This does give me a similar ketone boost as Left Coast and Bulletproof XCT oil, but sometimes just a little stomach discomfort. Also, it raises my triglycerides (I use a Multicare IN blood meter for that). I don't know why.
Sports Research MCT Oil
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XM0Y9SE/
C8 Caprylic Acid 34%
C10 Capric Acid 28%
C12 Lauric Acid 29% (really a long-chain fatty acid, some say to avoid for GI issues, but may have benefits)
Other (not listed): 9%
This gives me a similar ketone boost as Left Coast MCT oil, but I've stopped using it mainly because I'm hoping that maximum C8 and C10 per serving in other products will help my brain and physical stamina more.
And, from wikipedia, here's the fractional breakout of PLAIN OLD UNREFINED COCONUT OIL:
Caprylic C8 "‰ 7%
Decanoic C10 "‰ 8%
Lauric C12 48%
Myristic C14 16%
Palmitic C16 9.5%
Oleic C18:1 6.5%
Other 5.0%
Are all those non C8 & C10 fractions (Lauric, Myristic, Palmitic, Oleic) "bad?" Controversial topic to be sure. Authors like Bruce Fife ("The Coconut Oil Miracle") and Mary Enig (biochemist and author of "Eat Fat, Lose Fat") cite benefits to whole coconut oil (anti-inflammatory effects, microbiome balancing, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial effects against harmful microbes, etc.). I'll leave the conclusions here for you to make.
Hope this helps, and sincerely wishing you health and well-being - Andrew in Boulder, CO.

This one is the one in my subscribe & save since the C8 ratio is good to my GI system
Justin Litchfield•April 18, 2017
It's a colorless, tasteless liquid. Which is exactly what I was looking to get...
In all seriousness, i've tried a bunch of MCT oils for my morning coffee and everyday cooking. This one is the one in my subscribe & save since the C8 ratio is good to my GI system, I like their story, and the price is right.
