Expensive but so nice and sturdy.

This thing is awesome. Always take with me to park and any parties. Great backup cooktop. I was able to make bacon and boiled potatoes from branches lying around the park when the gas grill failed at my friends party.

The lids almost vacuum shut themselves and the silicon handles have a setting to stand straight to help with removal over fire.

This stove works great!! It is easy to get going and produces excellent heat for cooking. It is large enough to use larger pots/pans to cook on. I am very happy with the setup. It is not for back pack camping due to size.
I love it!

I was finally able to purchase this after seeing it was back in stock and I had the money. I love my original Solo Stove so much I ended up buying the Titan and now the Campfire stove/combo kits to complete the collection! I can't say enough good things about these simple and yet so efficient biomass stoves. Sure you could make a similar design for much less but it'll be more crude and not made of stainless steel. I tested my Campfire using some old junk mail I had piled up in a garbage bag and its fun watching the gasification effect. I think this will also make a great little low key fire pit to take camping to use in place of a traditional camp fire where you're using large chunks of fire wood. At least with this you can use much smaller pieces of wood and it'll burn more completely.

This is the first Solo Stove product I have ever bought. We purchased this stove for emergency preparedness and for camping without using propane or camping fuel. Based on the reviews for this product on Amazon we purchased it.

We tried it out at our scout meeting to see if the Campfire & 2 pot set held up to the hype. We had no trouble lighting the fire with a piece of pine lighter with some small twigs off the ground.

After feeding the fire a little at a time we started the boiling process with 20 ounces of water in one of the pots. There is a small opening on the cooking ring to allow for more wood to be added during cooking. Small amount of smoke when the fire was first ignited, less than a few minutes the fire was almost smokeless as the fire was consuming the wood efficiently.

It took a little less than five minutes to boil the water and only left small ashes after the fire was out. Clean up on the stove and pot set was simple water and dish soap. On the bottom of the pot some soot was still stuck on, but after using a magic eraser it quickly looked like new.

I did have one defect in the product as a spot weld on the cooking ring wasn't made and was loose. After contacting the company they quickly sent out a replacement cooking ring to replace the loose ring. Customer service was a pleasure to deal with and seem to have a passion for taking care of their customers.

Positives:
+Minimal fuel (wood) usage to achieve cooking heat
+Opening to allow for more fuel to be added while cooking
+Green way to camp
+No fuel canisters to throw away
+Great customer service
+Easy to operate and clean
+Great size for campouts for a large family
+Campfire exceeded expectations
+Comes with storage bag
+Lifetime guarantee on workmanship

Negatives:
-If dry wood is not available may take longer to ignite and have more smoke output

Overall, I am very impressed with the Solo Stove Campfire & 2 Pot Set and the customer service to back it up.

Was looking for a small camping stove for car camping/scouts and certainly would also serve in an emergency. Zombie apocalypse, whatever. Had thought about a white fuel type stove, since they burn different types of fuel. But what if you don't have fuel? Especially the propane bottle types. Just too much hassle and extra stuff to pack around. Stumbled across this on outdoor review sites and Amazon. Thought I'd give it a try. The YouTubes on it looked pretty good. Also bought a generic flint and striker with it. First use was brilliant. Literally a pile of small twigs and a Vaseline soaked cotton ball and it started right up. Boiled a quart of water in about 6 minutes. Burned the sticks completely to ash. And no heat on the footprint. Could use this thing on top of grass and I doubt it would cause any damage. Like a dope I didn't apply dishwashing liquid to the pan so I had a mess to clean afterward, but nothing elbow grease didn't fix. I think it's a brilliant product. Highly recommend. I'm not paid for this endorsement. Just a solid, well-made, great working product.
