Just read the Clean Label Project's lab results on protein powders. Vega has the highest levels of heavy metals! Enjoying that huge amount of lead in your smoothie? I feel terribly betrayed by the Vega company. Selling a product that is actually harmful to my health. Have you at Vega ever bothered to test your product for heavy metals? Unforgivable lack of ethics.

I've been using this product for ~10 months. I was running out and bought another tub and it had a different design. Thinking I had ordered the wrong Vega One product, it turns out that Vega One changed this product from "All-In-One Nutritional Shake" to "All-In-One Shake". The sodium content is much different, it jumped from 25 mg to 240 mg. The protein remained the same (20 g) - yet the % daily value jumped from 40% to 27%. I'm not sure if this is because they initially had their calculations wrong or guidelines changed but it says it is based off a 2,000 calorie diet.
I usually had it with almond milk and thoroughly enjoyed the taste. It was a bit clumpy but I used a shaker bottle and it didn't bother me.
I just don't see how this product is justified to have its price when it dropped in quality. Maybe there's a justifiable explanation but I'm sad to say I'll have to look for other products.

I have consumed Vega product for years because I believed it was made of top quality pure ingredients and because of the sterling reputation of the company.
I just read LabDoor's and Consumer Reports heavy metal testing of Vega's shakes and was shocked to read Vega's shake product failed the heavy metals test and are not recommended due to unacceptable amounts of Lead and Cadmium. Shame on Vega for selling products containing unacceptable levels of heavy metals.... there are pregnant women and breast feeding women consuming this product.

Great Product / Addressing the holes in the seal

I have been using Vega One All-In-One for years now. I was drinking Carnation Instant Breakfast but one day realized how much sugar I was putting into my body. A trusted health food store employee suggested this as a alternative. It was a bit of a challenge at first, going from something with so much sugar to this, but now it tastes good and keeps me full for a while.
SIDE NOTE: I received a jug of this with 5 holes punched into the top of the seal and it completely freaked me out. I had Amazon send a replacement and it too had the holes. I reached out to Vega One and this was their response: "Thanks for reaching out! Yes, I can definitely see how the ventilation holes could be alarming as they slightly larger and more noticeable than before. We've always had ventilation holes in our seal, though it seems our manufacturer is likely using a new machine so they are in a more noticeable position and are slightly larger as I mentioned. The pin sized holes are completely characteristic of the vented liner on our tub and are meant for circulation."
