Great phone for visually impaired 95 year old. Large numbers are easy to see. Works great.

This was just right for my elderly mother that has macular degeneration. Buttons are large and clearly marked. Easy to use. No extra buttons to confuse or complicate things. It does come with a very short cord that connects the hand set to the body but its easy to purchase a longer cord.

Recently my legally blind, elderly neighbor came to my house to see if I had power. I asked why she didn't just call and I found out that she has, only, a landline and that it is a cordless phone that does not work when there is no power. I had to get something for her in case of an emergency. This was inexpensive and solved a serious problem to give me peace of mind for them!

I ordered this for my granny. She has arthritis and vision trouble. The enlarged buttons on this phone are big enough for her to see and push easily. The headseat volume is well loud enough for her to hear the person on the other end of the line.

I bought this phone in March 2018 and now on July 2, 2018 the thing doesn't work anymore. In the middle of the night I kept hearing a dial tone and fast busy signal and thinking I was hearing things or dreaming, I ignored it. When I finally got up to start my day, the same sound started again and that's when I realized it was coming from my phone. My phone is connected to my cable provider's WiFi modem, so I thought maybe we had an outage in our area. I unplugged the phone since I was tired of hearing the noise, and the light on the modem stopped blinking and became steady, which is what it's supposed to do. That's when I realized it was the phone and not my service. I've never had problems with a phone before, but I would definitely NOT recommend this phone to anybody, unless of course, you LIKE throwing your money away.
UPDATE: I changed the phone cord and haven't had a problem since. So I'm thinking there was a short in the wire, not the phone. So if you're looking for a basic no-frills phone, by all means buy this phone.
