No more vertical blinds!

So I got these after reading an article on some website (it's been a while.. can't remember which one) which I went to after being frustrated with those stupid vertical plastic blinds that are in most apartments. Every time there's the slightest breeze, they'd start banging into each other and making a bunch of noise. This was problematic because I enjoy a good breeze and generally have all my windows open. I purchased these, pulled down the plastic slats and inserted these into the little grabber deals (technical term) that the vertical blinds clipped into. Then I attached the curtain to these, and was able to use the existing rail/curtain rod thing to open/close the new blinds. Added bonus, didn't have to mess with removing hardware from the wall and patching additional holes or anything when I move.

I realize my review didn't talk about the clips themselves that much... but really they're just clips on a hook. That they allowed me to cheaply accomplish my goals was the big takeaway (to me, anyway).
Very small diameter, but very strong clips

For those wondering about the size of these curtain rings, they are quite small! A 3/8 inch diameter dowel fits (barely) through the rings.

I bought these to hang rolls of wrapping paper from a dowel rod. From the tiny picture on amazon, it was hard to tell exactly what I was getting. The package includes 24 curtain rings and 24 clips with smaller hooks attached. I hung the smaller hooks from the curtain rings and then slid the rings onto a 3/8 inch dowel. Then I clipped my rolls of wrapping paper on. These work perfectly for this project!
I'm pleased with how this product has performed so far

I bought these to replace my blinds with actual curtains so that I could use the existing track and have window coverings that retract on my large slider. I wasn't sure if they'd work but they did! I didn't use the additional hook, just the clip. I removed the PVC panels and inserted the clips. the clips are strong enough to securely hold medium weight curtains, but they do show and are fairly unattractive, I've ordered a decorative curtain valance to replace the generic PVC valance and finish the look. I'm pleased with how this product has performed so far.
These clips are much stronger than I anticipated!

I have six HUGE windows with existing traverse rods. After 10+ years with the same furniture and curtains, I needed a change. Most curtains nowadays are the rod pocket type. I found some lovely, HEAVY, rod pocket curtains (need heavy for winter) but when I found that pole rods can cost over $40 each for my wide picture windows, I knew I could not afford curtains and poles. I needed to find a way to use my existing traverse rods. Everywhere I went I was told that there was no way to hang pocket curtains on a traverse rod. I did find some clips but they also had a loop to hang on pole-type rods and the clips cost $1 each.

Then I found these clips. These clips are small but they have a TIGHT grip. I am hanging the new curtains now and these clips are doing the job. The hook on the clips fit easily in the traverse rod slides. I bought double the clips because I thought I might need to add more slides and therefore more clips to support the heavy curtains. That hasn't been the case. I never had to add additional slides. These clips do the job. Now I have loads of leftover clips but I don't mind because I'm sure I can find other ways to use them.

There is one thing to consider if you are going to use these on a traverse rod. The curtains will have approximately a one inch drop from the rod now that they are attached with the clips. It doesn't look bad because the clips are small but if you don't like that look and/or don't want to see any part of your traverse rod (especially if you have the old-fashioned white, metal rods), then you must put up a valance or cornice to cover the top of the curtains and gap, which is what I did. I purchased really cheap pole rods (less than $10) to hold my valances. Now I have the modern look of pole rod curtains without the expense.
