I brought it on March 10th and it go here today (March 15th). There's very little assembling required. All your doing in screwing on the legs. The legs are tucked away in a zipped compartment underneath the futon (not hard to miss). It took me roughly 20 mins to put everything together. When it's all set up the futon sits about 14 1/2 inches off the ground I'm 5'10'' and I don't have a problem getting up off of it. I don't have a problem with it sinking either (though I've only had it for a few hours now lol). When laid flat, the bed is about the size of a full size mattress. If you add the chaise (which lays flat too) it could be a queen sized mattress. The ONLY thing I don't really like is how it feels. It's a bit too firm for my liking but I can deal with it! Overall, I'm very happy with this!

For the price I don't think you can beat the quality. I think some of the reviews are because people think a futon is meant to be slept on regularly which isn't the case at all. I wanted a futon to welcome guest and make them feel comfortable to visit but uncomfortable enough to make them not want to overstay their visit. It was easy to put together - doesn't look cheap at all - and I'd say its a nice medium sized couch perfect for studios like mine. Provides plenty of support. Rides a little low. I'm 5'11 and it hits comfortably about 3-4 inches below my shoulder line (right at the neck if you slouch). Its study and provides support but it is not a lazyboy-cupholder-puffy-recliner feel by any means.

UPDATE 10/20/17:
This isn't holding up well. The side I sit on both edges is caving in. I am super disappointed. It doesn't look horrible... I was just way over optimistic about its durability.

I like this couch. It's simple and chic. The metal legs give it a modern look. The fact that it can be laid down flat is a huge bonus. Also liked that you can recline it back at different angles depending on your mood. Quite disappointed that it did acquire a rip from being folded and unfolded.. could have been partly my fault but I felt this "convertible" couch should have been able to handle being folded and opened a couple times. Very hard, won't lie about that. Does get a little softer the more you sit on it. But for the price I'm still giving it 4 stars.

Looks wonderful in my small bedroom and was easy to install. No chemical odor of any kind, which is pleasant. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's very, very firm. It's springy if I bounce on it but I wouldn't plop down on this like I would on a comfy couch. Very glad with the purchase otherwise.

Please be aware that this comes in a big, heavy, and awkward box. I'm a petite girl and carrying this up 3 flights of stairs was a full body workout and then some...

I love this! I live in a small one bedroom apartment, so I wanted a couch that could turn into a bed for guests. I couldn't have picked a better/cheaper option. I feel so good about this purchase! It's firm, but comfortable. The back is adjustable, and the great thing is it looks like it's worth hundreds of dollars! If you're debating on going with this one, GO FOR IT!
