Wanted additional tongs for the kitchen and decided to try out these OXO alternatives. They didn't last 9 months. Spring rusted and snapped on smaller tongs rendering useless. Additionally, the rubber cushions pop-out occasionally. On the other hand, my 8 yr old OXO tongs are still going strong. Looking into the Guarantee in the description. Will update review upon resolution.
UPDATE (Day 2): The DRAGGON Team stood by their guarantee and provided a full refund. They responded super fast (in minutes) to my inquiry into how the broken tongs would be addressed. I did look into exchanging at first, as the tongs are solid (except for that pesky rusty spring), but couldn't be assured the original issue was addressed. A refund was offered and provided even though the standard "Amazon 180 Days" had expired. Overall experience very pleasant for a web transaction.

To me these are wonderful! I have a silicon tong like the small one here and they are useless for
picking up something like a hot pork chop in a skillet...the chop slides right out of its grip. So silicone
picking up a bit of weight that is slippery doesn't work. That bring me to the "DRAGONN" set! They are
brushed s.s.,light weight, nicely scalloped, hand grips are nice and have indentions for thumb and finger hold, the inside is opened enough for easy cleaning and easy open-close-space and storage.

I bought a set of tongs maybe 10 or more years ago that served me well. The last of the set was still in good shape but the spring mechanism was so rusted that it no longer sprang open during use. I bought a set a few years ago that had silicon tips but they seemed to melt if I accidentally touched the side of a hot pan. I love that these have metal tips and they work great and at a great value.
Space saver tongs

I really liked the set. I gave it a five star, even though the first time I used it, the large one came apart. The rivet broke on the spring pin. However, being kinda handy, I replaced it with a small machine screw and nut and it works great now. I love the locking mechanism. It's space saving and holds items better than the scissor style tongs.
My wife prefers them to the ones with silicone on the tip as they grab and hold items better.
