Package wrecked, pickups destroyed
Cameron S.•March 24, 2018
I ordered these as a replacement for the stock pickups on my Epiphone SG. I was already replacing all the hardware, so I thought I'd get a set of sleek black pickups. But when I got them today the package was rippedopenand torn. The pickupshad deep scratches and scraps on them and the bottom of was of the pickups was broken off. Im not expecting the shipping quality of like EMG, but. This isn't cool. I'll eat the 15 buck in cost and just order something else or spend a little more and get nicer pickups. I just wasn't expecting them to come in so beat up. I was really looking forward to using these though.
Seriously nice sound

I bought 2 sets of these to use in a double neck guitar. One set was 11.3 and 12.8 ohms and the other was 11.4 and 12.2. You have to test the ohms for which one goes where. Usually the thicker bracket is for the bridge side but in one set, it was installed on the lower ohm reading so I had to swap that. One of the screw heads was completely rounded off before I even touched it and the threads were messed up so In could barely turn it. But I replaced the screw and it wad fine. They actually sound very nice. If you are a music nut and hear everything precisely, you probably coukd pick them apart but if you want a decent sound at a great price, go for it. I will buy another set for an Ibanez that i am rebuilding that currently has EMG 81 and 85 in it. They are just too much. But a decent set of pickups at a great price.
Had to do some research to find out which one it was but other than that I'm very satisfied. For 13 bucks there should be no complaints ...

I don't normally post reviews or comments on.. Anything really, but I thought I would this time around for anyone who is going to be putting these in themselves. The BRIDGE pup is the one with the thicker outside ring of the pup when it's viewed from the side. Hope that helps someone. Had to do some research to find out which one it was but other than that I'm very satisfied. For 13 bucks there should be no complaints about these. Great upgrade for people who can't afford a high end guitar. Just installed them today so time will tell just how much i like them. Great value. Intalled on an epiphone sg special... Little update here. Now that I got these pickups dialed in right. I'm really stoked with them. Not a major difference in overall tone but I feel it's crisper and more refined overall. 13 dollars is a crazy deal
Awesome for the price.

Awesome for the price. I asked my instructor if I screwed up getting such a cheap pair. He played the guitar and said I was good to go. That for the price they sound stellar!
Updated Review

This review is an updated review based on current purchases. I have used these pickups in various types of guitars over the past few years and have been very satisfied with their performance and fit. First, let me state that these are not high end, US brand name products, and shouldn't be mistaken for them. However, these are Very Well made, and have good output! Yes, there is no paperwork for determining which pickup goes where, but by all standards, the red goes to neck, and the black to bridge.
Only just recently I have received only 1 pickup and not 2, and I received the 2nd shipment damaged (wires were pinched). These orders were fulfilled by Amazon, which mean that the packages were tossed into a box and shipped. The seller was notified of my problem and was quick to resolve. Since all my past orders were very fast and good, I can only assume that the manufacturer is at fault here and not the seller. Hopefully, they will correct the current problems soon. I, personally, do not wish to stop ordering.
