Mine works great inside, but it doesn't work in the sun ...

Mine works great inside, but it doesn't work in the sun at all for me. I tried to measure a ten foot wall, and it only gave error messages. I was very disappointed. I previously had a Bosch which would measure up to 30 or 40 feet in full sun, but this one does not seem to perform at all in bright light. I could see the red dot, though it was faint. The device simply could not read the measurement.

I bought this to measure for estimates in my business. It has simplified the process over using a tape measure and takes much less time. I would recommend this any contractor/handyman or anyone needing to measure a lot.
I would have given this a 5 star rating of the numbers were easier to read.
Update: Used this twice and then it quit. Laser flickers and won't measure. I wish it worked because it made things so much easier.

Was a bit of a disappointment

This is not as accurate as it was made to believe by other reviewers. I guess the red flag should have went up when all the good reviews were from people who receive the item free for testing purposes.
Great for determining room length

Great for determining room length, square footage. Not very good in bright sun, recommend waiting until dawn or night for outside use, or you can use provided reflector strip that comes with measure.
Measurement off by 5/8"

I would have liked this if it weren't for the fact that mine is consistently 5/8" off. I tried to call the company but the number on the manual didn't seem to work. I also wasn't able to find a website or any information regarding how to fix this. So, as it is I'm in the process of returning mine. I would be happy to change my review and keep the product if this were resolved but I don't have high hopes of that happening.
