Collar Stays are great. I like the metal collar stays because they hold the shirt down better than the plastic ones. They give the collar the firmness most shirts require. I like these ones that are a combination of 2.2 and 2.5 because the longer ones I feel bust through the shirt on the corners. When I use the 2.2's sometimes I double them up so they stay better and they work perfectly.

Collar stays are much more sturdier and robust than the cheap plastic stays that come with the shirts. The collar stays will need to be removed before the shirts get washed is the only thing that needs to be watched for.
